Freaken WOW
I just received it today 9/12/24 & after reading many reviews recommending to charge it 1st which I did . The led indicator changed from red to blue which contradicts the manual which states the led will go out . I I read an online review that stated it will change to blue when charged . Also it said to charge it for 4 hours which actually took 20 minutes . After charging the pairing procedure was pretty simple & straight forward . The 1st song I played was Lindsey Stirling Chrystalize which sounded superb with a great balance of treble as well as base . Song #2 is Round table Rival by her which again was superb , bear in mind that both songs were played at a low medium volume & didn't want to PISS off the queen . As I'm writing this review I'm listening to the West side story soundtrack . I've got nothing to compare this to other than desktop speakers so while this speaker sounds great to me it may not be for other people . While it's small & heavy enough to not blow away , it has a nice appearance , great sound , amazing that every note in the song is reflected in the 2 end LEDs . Again every instrument resonates well especially at a lower volume . I'm simply going to have to test it out in our 2 car garage where I can ramp it up . I just put on 1 of the most amazing opening acts ever recorded by RUSH . Being it's a recorded live show the sound is a little muffled but still worth listening too . How many bands do you know that feature not 1 but 2 operating clothes dryers & Jerry Stiller on the big screen . Switched the next song to the RUSH 2112 Overture which again is definitely worth listening to plus got better with a little more volume . Yes I like my older Rock music , I mean I'm 71 & stuck in the past music wise . Just put on Ted Nugent Stranglehold to see how it handles the back & forth synthesizer work which is also great . So far what I'm experiencing is a nice sounding somewhat small speaker that as of now seems to be worth every penny . As Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon plays , besides bringing back memories of my time in the USMC it makes me think of the genius of this band . So for the final songs , a couple from Saturday Night Fever to make an attempt to cover different styles & test this thing . I stand by my 5 star review as of now . Act 2 Yesterday I played it in the garage long enough & louder but about 5/8 volume , to play Rush 2112 & Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon while sanding & clear coating a workbench top . More than several times the music was interrupted by a quick burst of a fast busy signal . After completing the clear coat I noticed the LEDs were flashing red . So what's that , like 1:10 after starting to use it & I'm thinkin it's a low battery indication already , what happened to the 9 hours playtime on a louder setting . So I cleaned up & brought it in & put it on the charger & NO charging indicated on the LEDs . I verified the charger was indeed working by plugging my cellphone . I moved it to another room/charger & the same thing . OBTW it wouldn't turn on either & the thought that maybe it was too hot from being in the garage which the garage must have been 80 degrees . So I left it plugged in & about 20 minutes later it had flashing red lights & was in charging mode & responded to turning on & connected to my phone . We went out for dinner & about an hour later it again was fully charged . Out to the garage to sand ,& re coat the workbench top after 8PM & played it again while listening to 1080s greatest hits at slightly less then 1/2 volume & had no problem at all .. Either it somehow updated or downloaded an newer version or maybe it Exorcized a demon I'll never know . So hopefully it's now AOK . Possible Act3 to follow ; Well you guessed it , while having a late breakfast 9/15/24 I decided to reset the speaker by turning it on & holding down both volume buttons for more then 10 seconds . Of course it had to be paired again with my Google Pixel 7Pro XL . After pairing I played it on low volume for over an hour & no problems . I took it out to the garage & cranked it up to about 3/4 volume & everytime the LEDs turned red I thought it was going to low battery & die again . Only difference was the red lights were blinking & not solid . So I ended up playing it for a total of 4 plus hours & NO interruptions & no more what sounds like a couple seconds fast busy signals as I had before . In other words , I'm thinking we're all good now . As long as it performs as it is doing NOW , I'd definitely recommend it . Read more
