If you prefer a cleaner sound signature that concentrate more on producing clean vocals, this is it. This speaker is very good for listening to audiobooks and podcasts, without the voices sounding overly bassy like with JBL speakers. Tribit seem to have done a great job EQ'ing the sound out of the box. If you are someone who don't want to bother with installing an app just to use the speaker, I think you don't have to with this speaker, because they tuned it just about right without too much bass nor too much trebles. However this could also mean for some people it's leaning more neutral sounding, so if you are a basshead you might not enjoy this speaker. I do have to note it's very easy to pair two PocketGo speakers into stereo mode, you can look up the instruction, but it is easier to do compared to the Soundcore Select 4. Comparing the JBL Go 4, Soundcore Select 4 and Tribit PocketGo: To me the PocketGo sound better than the other two. Much better than the JBL but just slightly better than the Soundcore. If you already have the Soundcore Select 4 and like it, you probably don't need to buy the PocketGo. Compared to the Select 4, I feel the PocketGo have a more realistic sound stage with less artificial "spaciness", and instruments have better separation. Though it's not a huge difference. As for the JBL Go 4, it still win out in term of being more compact and better built quality, particularly more convenient in waterproofing. However, the Go 4 sound is too bassy, and sharp highend, and is imo worst of the three in term of balance. Read more

I bought the Bose SoundLink Micro which is similar in size but at THREE TIMES THE PRICE. Doing a comparison between the two in my opinion: If you are looking for a portable speaker with decent sound, decent volume, and quality made at a great price go with the Tribit PocketGo. These two side by side are similar in size, I actually like the size of the Tribit because the Bose SoundLink is a bit bulky in comparison. The Bose does offer more convenient features, you can download the app and adjust volume and also sync to a Bose stereo system or you can sync to Bose earbuds and listen on the SoundLink at the same time. Bluetooth seems to work equally between the two units. Units are similar in size and weight but the Tribit is a bit lighter. The Tribit PocketGo has little rubber feet on the bottom which is great, if you put it on a car hood and the bass gets going this will stay put and not slide to the ground. They really thought of everything. Battery is great and Sound is incredible on both units so why spend 3x the amount when this unit will last long, made well and offers similar features. This is a great buy. I own so many Tribit items and a few Bose and other costly brands and Tribit is well made, last long and sound great. I've dropped the Tribit Stormbox mini+ multiple times and it's still great. You can't go wrong with Tribit brand! Read more

This has much bigger sound than its size would suggest. I bought this after reading a good review (from an article, not from Amazon). I recently bought an Anker Soundcore as a laptop speaker upgrade, but it had disappointingly tinny sound, barely better than the laptop. This Tribit (which I had never heard of before) is FAR better sounding, and far smaller as well. I can't speak to the battery life, as I'm still on my initial charge. Nor have I tried blasting the sound yet. But it is very solid. Solid, but not too heavy to carry in a (big) pocket. Four rubber feet on the big back side, with the speakers pointing up (my preference), and feet on a side when it stands on edge (as pictured). It has a microSD card slot under the rubber cover, which I assume means it can function as a media player on its own. Bluetooth connectivity has been fine so far. If I have a quibble, it would be that the (black) textured material is probably going to pick up and show a lot of dust and dirt. But I love the texture. This is a good buy at its list price ($30 as of today), and a great buy below that. Read more

This little micro speaker really rocks, especially for the early release price of about $20, it’s a killer deal. So how does this Tribit pocketgo compare the other micro speakers in its price and size class? Well, simply put it leads the class. Sound is richer and louder than the near twin from Anker - the Soundcore select 4 go. The soundcore has weird lumpy one note bass on every type of music, whereas the tribit pocketgo has clean actual bass. Mind you there is almost no bass below 80hz at all, but mid bass above that is clean and rich. The treble can be a bit sibilant, but the tribit app eq solves that, and the 6 preset eqs in the app are decent enough too if you don’t want to make your own custom eq. So side by side - contenders I tested include the Tribit pocketgo, soundcore select 4 go, jbl go 4, and Bose SoundLink micro. I know that the Bose micro is like 4-5x the price I paid for the Tribit, but had to compare it in the mix due to its popularity. Incredibly, the Tribit is louderr than the Bose, at low and high volumes, and actually is more rich and detailed when utilizing the custom eq in the Tribit app. Honestly, I prefer the clarity, volume, and richness of the Tribit pocketgo over the bose micro! Really that’s all you need to know, it’s a great sounding micro speaker and amazing value at the sale price of $20-25. The tribit has much better bass and mid bass than the jbl go and soundcore go speakers, so those two were immediately out. Compared to larger, more powerful and expensive speakers the Tribit pocketgo holds its own for sure, but if you want more bass and stereo sound the Tribit xsound go and Tribit Stormbox are great options. For the size though, I haven’t heard a better Bluetooth speaker. I also prefer this pocketgo over tribits own micro 2, which costs twice as much. Overall, a 5 star little speaker and amazing value. Highly recommend! Read more
