I bought 7 of these for a temporary installation involving syncing and charing aprox 90 Android devices and these worked great. They provide sufficient current and can sync across the devices. The downside, though, is that it's actually a USB Hub, attached to 4 USB Hubs, which have 4 USB Ports (So 16 ports total) so you transverse two levels of USB hubs before the devices. For one or two of these it doesn't matter but in my case I had to worry about hitting the 127 device limit per USB rail. Since the temporary installation 2 of these have found new use with charging and syncing 20 iPads via Configurator, one for our video team as a GoPro charging station, and one in my office for quick setup and deployment of iPads. I went through two units in less than a month. Both units stop syncing mysteriously after ten days of setting them up. Spoke to Tripp Lite customer service, which are friendly enough, but no resolution to the issue. Luckily Amazon has a great return/exchange policy but unfortunately, these hubs are useless unless the sync. Read more

This is used in a school to charge about 8 new Ipads air's. It works unless the kids run the battery totally dead and it turns off. Then this charger won't work, it will never start charging. You have to plug them into a regular wall charger for an hour to get them over 5%, then you can plug them back into this charger. As long as you plug them in before they go all the way dead, this charger does work. But I have a $17 multicharger at home that will charge a dead Ipad, for this price I would have expected better. Charges good but couldn't get the sync to work with iTunes / Apple Configurator. I was hoping this would work for both syncing and charging as I wanted to buy a few more for my company. We couldn't get the sync function to work. Changed my review to 4 stars as the sync does work and works well. My techs weren't doing it correctly. I recently bought a second one and plan on getting a few more for our lab. Read more

This would not sync my iOS devices or support external USB peripherals like my Logitech camera or microphone. So, I returned it and I'm appreciative for Amazon's return policy. I'm going back to my Anker 9 port USB hubs. Read more

I want to love this product, but I can't. I need a rackmount hub and this is the only real one I could find. Unfortunately, Tripplite doesn't realize that communication room nerds aren't the only people in need of this kind of equipment. This WOULD BE a godsend in a studio (where I need it) except it is very loud. I need a silent machine. This is ludicrous. Still stuck in PC land I guess. Very very unfortunate. Brings me back to the eighties. Not savvy at all for a 2023 product. Read more
