Good value and comfortable

Great value for the money, cloth is soft and high quality. The xl fit me Great (6 foot 220lbs). Not a big box, fit nicely so you can see arm muscles and chest. Conceals anything you might carry at the waistband level. Read more

The comparison you probably wanted: TC vs FCT. BONUS: how to wash your clothes with no shrinking.

These really are great shirts. Nice enough to wear out, even some jobs since they aren't sloppy looking tshirts. Simple, no logos and the slightly tailored fit does work. I love that there are no tags, it's just printed. That fitted look isn't extreme, it isn't simply downsized, and that makes this a different animal than the usual old tshirt. No more Carhartts. **Here's the answer to the question you may have, which also is why I bought the shirts after discovering Fresh Clean Tees first (called "Threads" now). Are they similar? Yes. TC costs a little more, either here or bought directly, but has a tiny bit more premium feel. I like buying here so I don't have to wait for a coupon code for shipping and I have bought here on sale. TC is a little heavier feel, I have no info to back that up. Both are 60/40 cotton/poly shirts. I have a lot of these two brands, I stick to what I like. They both last well, but IMO the TC holds the "new" look longer. FCT tends to change the colors and drop the ones I like, TC tends to keep them around from what I can tell. I tend to stick to a nice dark navy, that's just me. FCT only has that color temporarily. FIT COMPARISON: I'm 6' and 200lbs, not what I'd call an athletic build yet, but an emerging V shape, 34" pants waist. With FCT, I'm kind of between an XL and a L, but I can wear either. The large in TC lands in that range. Out and about, I'll either wear the TC in L or FCT in XL. The XL in TC I just got is on the loose side, giving up some of the fitted benefit. Neither are "tight" I'm not going for that look. At the gym, I sweat a lot to begin with. These shirts make me sweat even more (again, they're 60/40) and hold onto it rather than drying, and get temporarily out of shape. Back in shape after a wash, no worries. They aren't shrinking like a fully cotton shirt, so as an investment, these are shirts that last. Many get washed weekly, if not twice a week. Compared to other shirts I work out in, this one makes me more sweaty. The FCT is a similar experience, but maybe not so much since they do seem a little thinner, even if still a 60/40 blend. My favorite gym shirts are 50 poly, 25 cotton, 25 rayon sold at the gym, made by Next Level Apparel, and although slightly fitted, they aren't quite like TC and FCT in that area for the desired look. Long story short, 5 stars as a great product, probably a little nicer than the direct competition but a little more expensive. Both last, but these look brand new a little longer justifying either one depending on how you feel about it. Note the difference in sizing. What do I want from the company? More henley options, short sleeves and not restrictively tight arms on the long sleeves. Quality to wear alone, not as an undershirt. Washing: it's not 1950, you don't need to wash on hot. Wash cold, dry on low but for a longer time. I've got all brands discussed (TC, FCT, NLA) that are 2 years old or more, no shrinking or very minor with the oldest that are washed weekly, with minimal fading even on the oldest shirts. If it's that bad, wash twice, the first with a little vinegar. Save your clothes people. Read more

These fit so well and feel amazing – worth it even if a little overpriced!

I've tried a ton of "premium" t-shirts over the years, but True Classic Men's Short Sleeve Crew Neck T-Shirts are in a league of their own. These fit so well – the tailored athletic cut hugs the shoulders and chest without being tight or restrictive, and the length is perfect (hits right at the hips, no constant tugging or bunching). No more baggy or too-short tees that look sloppy. The fabric is what really sells it: super soft, smooth, and lightweight with just the right amount of stretch. It feels great on the skin – almost like a high-end cotton blend that doesn't irritate or feel cheap/heavy. No scratchy tags, no fading after washes, and they hold their shape beautifully (no shrinking or stretching out). I've worn them under jackets, for workouts, casual days – they look sharp and stay comfortable all day. Yeah, they're a little overpriced compared to basic tees from big stores, but once you wear one, you get why people rave about them. The quality and fit make them worth the extra cost – I end up reaching for these over everything else in my drawer now. If you're tired of mediocre t-shirts that lose their shape or feel rough, grab a few True Classics. You won't regret it – best everyday tees I've owned. Read more

It’s comfortable….

Feel is great. It’s very soft and wears snug and comfortable without feeling squeezed. But, it shrinks. And quite significantly in tail length. That’s fine is most situation but if your working overhead, beit vocation or the gym it’s going to ride up above the waste. I’ve chosen to hang them dry for now and see how they wear in the months ahead, specifically for the gym. I suspect I’ll have to go up a size if they prove to keep form through wash and wear rigors. If you tuck, and are at or slightly tight in your size range I’d start a size larger or get it in Tall (if that’s) available. Edit: seller responded very quickly to this review and replaced the shirts. Pretty classy move and I’ll be adding more of these. Upgraded to 4 stars. Read more

Good product (?) with good support (?). I believe "YES" x 2

I like the fit but quality is potentially questionable. Have been trying all morning to work through a return of a single shirt. Bought a 3 pack in late September, among others in the recent past, and after 2 washes one of the newer t shirts has a disruption between the neck and the body (see picture). I sent True Classic an email to customer support and they were very quick to respond to me. By the end of a handful of emails (on a Sunday which is great) they asked that I submit a formal request through the "quality portal." Great idea except this is an Amazon purchase so the requested order number is not through their website so I am unable to request a return/replacement (their website states 100 days; Amazon says 30...). So still waiting on an answer to how to bypass this requirement to get a replacement. I mean this is a $25 t shirt and should not have any stitching issues after 2 washes. Also it is not cheap enough for me to simply replace with a new purchase. So, I do like the shirts in general, with good material and an excellent fit, and I suspect this is a "one off" problem. I appreciate the response to the emails today, but am unhappy with the lack of response to helping me get to the point of an actual replacement. Once this is resolved, assuming it is done so easily and soon, I will be happy to change the review. UPDATED (2-3 hours later): Changing to 5 stars. After a little communication issue got a great response from the company and it looks like they will make the process easy. Has turned out to be relatively easy once the correct person sees the issue. Well done. Highly recommend these shirts for fit and material quality and True Classic for their great customer service.
