For me, this performed more like a dry shampoo than a volumizing powder. My volume was not noticeable to attach a before/after picture to this review. However, the application is very innovative and designed well, I really like it. You need to carefully remove the plastic cap within the applicator before using so that the powder is released. It is very light and although I can still feel the product in my hair it has absorbed nicely and hasn't left a white residue. The smell is nice too. I will definitely continue using this product between washes. 4.5 stars, rounded up to 5. The Truhair Airlift Volume Refresh Powder is so incredibly easy to use and eliminates the mess with the sponge applicator built right into the container. I have dark blonde, long, fine, thin hair. The powder blends in with my hair color and my hair doesn't feel overly weighed down but I can tell I have something in it. As long as I take it easy and don't go all nuts with how much I use, my roots do have a "fluffier" appearance. I initially thought this product might be more suitable for blondes, but it actually works quite well to refresh my darker roots without leaving much noticeable residue. I was really happy with how this easily absorbed and made my dark hair look actually fresh and clean and not greasy. Normally it just makes my hair look a little more fluffy, but still greasy when I use dry shampoo, but this one really absorbed it and gave it a nice clean look no strong scent and no irritation and Iโm really happy with how long it lasted. This is a pretty nice system for applying a powder to the roots of the hair. I love the baby powder scent and if you turn your hair upside down to spread the powder it does a great job of absorbing excess oil which extends your washing time. This would also be nice to travel with and fits nicely right in your makeup bag. Win/win! Read more

This item was hard for me to review. I didn't really care for it. It seemed to be more of a nuissance then a helper in my hair. I didn't notice any increased volume but I noticed my hair felt dirty and dull. Since it didn't work for me, I stopped trying to use it.
