Everything has a place and everything fits snungly and securely. This is a good looking durable bag that will undoubtedly last for years. I would say that it is soft sided therefore does allow for bumps and bruises. The bottom of the bag is the area that holds the main console, And my one complaint is. I wish it had either a little more padding on the bottom or even a hard plate on the bottom to provide additional safety. But overall it is a good value and a really good bag.
