I ordered this vegan protein powder because of the healthy ingredients and glowing testimonials and ads about it being delicious and creamy- like ice cream!! After tasting it, that is false advertising! It is the absolute worst, zero star protein powder I have ever tasted (& I'm not picky). It has strange, almost earthy flavor, is overly fake-sweet, and gritty versus creamy as advertised. I've never seen any negative reviews, so I felt it was necessary to let others know the truth before you spend $39. Unfortunately, I'll be throwing it away and already ordered another I know is better. Read more
For reference: I’m a 35-year-old woman who is pretty active - I stay focused on health strong through Pilates, strength training, and cardio. So l’ve tried several protein powders over the years; I found most to be either chalky, too sweet, or full of ingredients I couldn’t pronounce. Truvani surprised me! The ingredient list is impressively clean, which I really appreciated. Plus the vanilla flavor tastes natural, not artificial. It blends easily and has a smooth, light texture with no grit or aftertaste. I mix it every morning after my workout with frozen spinach, banana, almond butter, and a bit of ginger, and it’s delicious. I also love that it gives me steady, clean energy that lasts for hours without the crash I get from coffee. It doubles as a breakfast or coffee replacement on busy mornings and keeps me full well into the afternoon. That said, I find the pricing to be inconsistent. I paid $34 for the 20g package but got charged $44 for the second bag (same size). Also, they seem to run out of the product regularly, which is frustrating since I like to depend on quality product and have it be consistent. So that parts a bummer. But if you are looking for a plant-based protein that’s clean, gentle on digestion, and genuinely tasty, this one’s worth a try. Read more

I’m impressed by the quality of the ingredients, but the taste of the chocolate version is just horrible. The aftertaste is incredibly earthy and unpleasant. I considered trying a different flavor, but given the price and the taste of this one, I’m not willing to risk another purchase from this brand. Read more
I think the taste will depend on how you use the protein powder. I added a half scoop of the vanilla to a cup of plain Greek yogurt (I added 1/4 cup of water bc it got very thick) and it had a very chalky gritty taste. Did not like it at all. But finished it bc I knew it was a good clean high protein breakfast. (I did add fresh mixed berries and it did not help) However, I have made protein balls with the vanilla as well and there was NO chalky taste. Maybe the other ingredients (peanut butter, oats, honey, chocolate chips), may have hidden the taste much better. I will finish the bag and find an alternative. Read more
It’s a nice product (I got the vanilla). For me, the monk fruit makes it way too sweet unfortunately. It would be nice to have one neutral option where I could throw just a dried date into the mix as I usually do. I give it 4 stars but won’t order it again because of this. Read more
Taste is great and I loved that it was only a few ingredients. BUT - caused me severe GI upset that almost sent me to the hospital! Decreased my intestinal motility (trying to put it delicately). Just be careful with this one. It's really too bad because I really liked the taste. Read more
Seem like generally clean ingredients, but not worth the price. They were already on the expensive side and did a 20% price increase right after the consumer reports lead tests came out. On the product side, it tastes ok but gets very foamy when shaken. It seems finer ground than alternative brands. Combine that with the inconvenient bag it comes in, the powder statically clings to the scooper and gets everywhere. Also, maybe due to the fine grind of it, the scooper gives inconsistent amounts. I had to use a scale to get close to the right amount. Read more
