This mat is made with great material that will definitely last a long time. It doesn’t slip and packs away, well. Easy to carry. A must with TRX straps. Love the lines to help me with positioning for intense movements. This is worth the price! Read more
This may is great for home gym use. I use every day for lifting weights, stretching, yoga, etc. the grip is really great. The thing to know is that while this comes with a carrying strap I don’t think this is the kind of mat you’re going to be lugging to the gym or a class. It’s thick and heavy so not truly portable. This super-grippy, heavy and dense mat with lines spaced at one-inch and one-foot intervals is designed specifically for TRX training. It works extremely well if you want or need a very grippy surface for stability when leaning backward or forward during TRX exercises and want or need distance marks to precisely repeat exercises with the same resistance and measure exercise progressions. My Nike Metcon 7 workout shoes feel like they are glued to the mat. I put the mat a fixed distance from a power rack, measured (with the help of my wife) my body angles at different distances using a laser distance measure that also measure angle of inclination, and then used tension (pull) dynamometers (Tindeq Progessor 200 and Hoggan microFET) to measure resistance. This mat plus the dynamometer allows me to track progress as I would with a functional trainer but provides the TRX advantage of closed chain exercise. (I recommend the Tindeq, made for climbers, for its reasonable price and ease of use with real-time measurement on an iOS or Android app if you want a pull dynamometer and don't need a push dynamometer). Keep in mind that this mat is optimized specifically for TRX workouts. (For normal floor exercises I use an Airex pad, which provides more cushioning for my back, elbows and knees.) You don't really need this mat for TRX exercises (unless maybe you work out on a slippery surface) but it's extremely useful if you want to measure your progressions more precisely, as you can with weights or a functional trainer. I bought the mat at a discounted price of under $40 and thought it was worth the price. At full list price of $70 I would have had to think long and hard about whether it was worth that much to me. Goes great with my Tactical TRX Straps and dumbell exercises. Easy to line up forward, reverse and side lunges consistently. Removes the guess work on consistent reps. Read more

Makes a huge difference in using a suspension trainer indoors. I've used this no slip mat on hardwood and LVP flooring and it does not budge which makes it perfect for using a TRX or any other suspension trainer. HIghly recommend if your using a suspension trainer or TRX on any surface that might not give a good grip. Read more
Surface is somewhat hard but it’s no problem. Read more
About 1/2 inch or 1 cm of rubber matting. It is textured and a little grippy. This is what I like about it. The mat will come rolled up so best to open it and let is sit for a few days to the memory of the roll comes out of the ends. So far I have used it on grass, rubberized track, and asphalt ... it works well on all if the ground is level. Don't expect it to lay perfectly flat on bumpy tree roots and soil. The lines on the mat are great for helping to position yourself as you learn your balance and positions of the TRX system. Would definitely recommend having one for your work outs. Read more
