I usually wear a medium to large but I really wanted a black denim jacket in a hurry so I bought it in the small because it is what was in stock. This is a reallly nice jacket but is very, very large in the shoulders and sleeves. I am glad they did not have a medium because it would have been way too big. The color is a nice faded black but still dark. The fabric is soft but also substantial--like a pair of original Levis after you have washed and worn them for a year.
