I have been purchasing TUFFY toys for my 1-year-old German Sheppard since she was about 3 months old. She is obsessed with the tiger shark, the ultimate ring and the ocean creature shark. They're the most durable toy I have been able to find for her on the market. Our son has a high-energy Heeler who can destroy most soft toys in less than an hour. This toy is her absolute favorite. She can shake it like crazy, throw it all around and it won't fall apart right away. It starts coming apart a bit after a few weeks, around the seams, but otherwise it holds up. My neighbor had this exact toy for her big lab. My Doodle pup played with it every time he visited so i bought him his own. It was over a year old and still in great shape, even though constantly left outside. When my pups own toy arrived I played fetch with him using it. Within 10 MINUTES, the seam on the nose of the shark had opened up! Looked like the fabric alignment had been off during stiching so it didn't grab the fabric edge well. No big deal. Mistakes happen. Requested replacement for a clearly defective product. When it arrived, I packaged up the defective one, applied the supplied return label for USPS and dropped it off at the PO personally. Well, apparently they lost it. Even IF it had arrived back to the company, the fine print says returns must be in "original salable condition". How EXACTLY am I supposed to do that if it arrived defective? I contacted Customer service twice and appealed. DENIED. Do not buy from this company if you receive a defective product. I sincerely doubt they will stand behind it; hence the carefully crafted "return" policy which makes no allowance for defective merchandise or lost packages using the provided return labels. I would have been a life long customer. Dog toys don't last forever. No longer willing to do business with them. Poor long term decision on their part, which makes this a lose:lose outcome. These are made pretty well and hold up to aggressive chewing. Bought a two pack of these to have a backup and the first one has still held together really well after several weeks of daily chewing on. My dog really likes these toys and I like they hold up so well! Read more
