I have a 1.5 year old Shepard lab mix and she is a chewer. She can't have cheap toys because they don't last a day. Pepper has had 5 Tuffy toys since she was a pup and still has 2. They are the only ones to hold up from her chewing. Recommend the ones with no seam poking out but they are hard to find. She loves them either way and they last more than a day. Read more

Our dog Willow (give or take 50 lbs) chews through EVERY toy we have ever given her, including those made of "fire hoses" (if our house is ever on fire and she gets one look at the hoses, we are SCREWED). She's part Malinois, Retriever and Whippet--not a dog that looks like a chewing machine. So I was incredibly skeptical when doing my research for a toy and found this. Oh sure, you see them give it to a tiger for what, 30 seconds? Yeah my dog demolishes a tennis ball in about 5 minutes, and only a Raptor sized femur bone can hold her for more than a few weeks. But here I am today, in 2014--2 years after giving her "pinkie" and it is still in ONE PIECE. A few of the black edges are frayed from gnawing, but she has not gotten a hole into it. Unlike her first favorite toy---the hose--which we replace every year. Give her 10 minutes, there's a hole (the squeakers don't last either--as soon as the hole is large enough, we remove them). The only flaw I see in this product is for the creators--because you only ever need buy one (or one per pet). When we get another dog (no worries--Willow is 6 and healthy as can be--we're just looking for a sister for her) we will purchase another one of these so there's no sibling rivalry ;) A larger dog may need the toy with a 10 rating (it's a bit too heavy for her to lift so it makes a nice pillow) but I think they have a real winner here. I have three fur babies ranging in size from 14 pounds to 88 pounds each of them love to perform squeak ectomy. Tuffy toys by far last the longest. So if you also have for babies that like to remove squeakers and the stuffing from their doggy toys, even though these aren’t 100% impenetrable, they certainly last the longest would recommend! We did receive it…finally. I have bought stuffy products for the past 7 years ( her birthday is the 21of Nov.). She loves them and really puts them to the test, however she doesn’t like the bones that are so big. They are too bulky for her mouth. Read more

Great toys! Our dog is a chewer and he loves these and they last. Had one for our previous dog and when we got a new dog, he took right to it. Have bought 4 so far and they are all his favorites! Read more

As always, or dog loves her tuffy bone. Every day at 4 o'clock she demands I play with her and her Tuffy bone. Good product. Update: It is March 2024 and still going strong! This has 3 squeakers in it. The center one is no longer alive, but the 2 end squeaker's are still good. No holes yet either. 2 thumbs up! Read more

Very strong-looking toy. Appears well made. Nice plush outer shell and rugged-feeling build. Gave this to a 9-month old St. Bernard mix. She mono-focuses on one part of a toy and works on it as long as it takes (usually a few minutes) to get to stuffing. This Tuffy toy (rated 8 on the 10 tuffy scale) was opened-up to reveal stuffing in about 10 minutes. This toy may be for rough play time, but not for chewing. Get a hard rubber toy and leave this one for fetch. P.S. Dog LOVES IT! Read more
