I fell in love with Tula products about 4 years ago and haven't looked back. I am one of those gals who doesn't typically wear make-up and spends as little time as possible on my getting ready and going to bed routines. The Tula product that I will never live without is the protect+glow cream. It goes on my face every morning and replaces serums, moisturizers, sunscreens and make-up. For me, it's all I need. The beauty sleep product intrigued me, as I was looking for something to slap on my face in the evenings before bed (as I don't want to be wearing sunscreen). I live in a really dry climate at 7000+ feet in elevation, and in the winter, I need something extra-moisturizing. The beauty sleep so far, has lived up to my expectations. It does have a pretty smell, so is not fragrance free. And it's relatively clean-ish. The ingredients that are borderline are the following: PEG-100 Stearate — safe, but some “clean” brands avoid PEGs Phenoxyethanol — widely used + safe, but some clean brands prefer not to use it Polysorbate 80 — safe emulsifier, but not used in some “strict clean” lines Synthetic fragrances (Limonene, Linalool, Hydroxycitronellal) None of these bother me, but wanted to include for completeness. If you have super sensitive skin, the botanicals in this one could be an irritant, but my skin so far loves it. As far as the cleanser goes -- first, this is a HUGE tube. (On the other hand, the beauty sleep is a smaller travel size). I love the way the cleanser makes my skin feel, but there is one tiny thing that I don't love about it. Somehow, a little bit always seems to sneak into my mouth (no idea how) and it tastes chemical-y. I know this sounds odd... If this happens to you, you'll know exactly what I mean. I picked up this TULA set to cover both the "cleanse" and "repair" steps of my routine, and the two products balance each other surprisingly well. You get a large, refreshing daily cleanser and a concentrated, rich treatment for overnight recovery. The Cleanser (The Cult Classic) The "Cult Classic" Purifying Cleanser comes in a generous 6.7 oz tube. It is a gel-based formula that highlights probiotics and superfoods like turmeric, white tea, and blueberry to clean without stripping the skin. Safety Note: I really appreciated that the tube arrived with a sturdy foil seal under the cap, ensuring the product was fresh and tamper-free. The Night Cream (Beauty Sleep) In contrast to the lightweight cleanser, the Overnight Repair Treatment is a heavy-hitter. It’s packed with active ingredients like Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) for smoothing skin texture and Vitamin C for brightening. Texture: As you can see in the photos, this is a very thick, luxurious cream. It comes with a protective inner lid to keep things tidy. Pros: Effective Ingredients: I like the "clean and effective" approach. Combining probiotics with proven actives like AHAs makes this feel like a sophisticated routine rather than just basic soap and lotion. Packaging: Both items feel high-quality. The cleanser stands up easily in the shower, and the jar feels solid. The safety seals on both give peace of mind regarding hygiene. Balanced Routine: The cleanser is gentle enough for morning and night, while the cream provides that heavy moisture surge you need while sleeping. Cons: Size Disparity: Be aware that while the cleanser is large (6.7 oz), the night cream is a "treatment" size (0.53 oz). It is potent, so a little goes a long way, but the jar looks quite small next to the tube. Fragrance: The cleanser does list "Parfum" in the ingredients. It smells pleasant, but if you require 100% fragrance-free skincare, this is something to note. Final Verdict: This set is a great entry point into probiotic skincare. You get a high-volume daily wash that leaves skin feeling fresh, paired with a powerful, targeted night cream that does the heavy lifting while you sleep. Read more
