Really solid headset
Build: Light weight and all plastic but seems well put together. the plastic body has a lot of flex to it but not in a loose cheap way but the material itself is almost rubbery, and the flex gives me hope that they will hold up well over time, nothing seems to be brittle or having particular stress points. One real complaint here, the cord is fixed, a detachable cord would much nicer to allow for swapping out for a different length/replacing, but not surprising on cheaper headphones/headset. And one minor complaint, the microphone really should swing down a bit further than it does. Fit: Pretty comfortable, I have a have a very large head and they feel just a bit small but they don't clamp in any unpleasant sort of way, just wish the earcups were slightly taller. That flex in the frame also helps with getting the ear cups seated comfortably. The foam is a medium soft and the fabric covers are cool and comfortable for several hours of use. I suspect for people of more average size will find the fit to be very good to perhaps just a bit loose. Sound: Very good sound quality, especially at the price point, you're not going to mistake these for top end headphones but they sound way better than I expected. Sound is clear, warm, detail is good, soundstage is decently wide. Bass is solid but in balance, all around much better than I had been expecting. The mic's sound quality seems to be pretty good, although nothing special. Sound isolation is decent, but obviously with no active noise cancellation there's some sound leakage. Controls/Features: Very Simple but practical, there's a volume wheel on the the underside of the left earcup that gives good control and the mic has a flip up to mute function. Very basic but very functional. Overall: Highly recommend for a lower cost headset, especially if corded is preferred and active noise cancelation isn't required. Read more
