For a budget-friendly headset, this thing is awesome in a lot of ways. The sound quality is surprisingly good for gaming—I can hear footsteps and other audio cues clearly, and everything is crisp. It's comfortable enough for a few hours of play, and I've had no issues using it across my Xbox and PlayStation. However, there's one major issue that keeps me from loving it completely. The only thing that I wish I could change is the flip-down microphone. The feature is supposed to be simple: you flip it down to talk and flip it up to mute. But when you put the microphone down, sometimes it doesn't connect properly, and my friends can't hear me. You have to jiggle it and adjust the position to get the connection to register. It almost feels like there's a bent wire or a loose connection within the hinge. I'm not sure if it’s a cable management issue built into the headset or if the mechanism just isn't sturdy enough, but it's really frustrating to deal with in the middle of a game. It's a shame because if the mic was more reliable, this would be an easy 5-star headset for the price. Read more
