Makes it handy to dip the brush into especially when the polish is lower and hard to get out of. I made the mistake of putting it on the edge of my bathtub where it could not suction to and knocked the entire thing off. Polish went everywhere and I’ve never done that in my life. But as long as the edge is level, it will stick to it and not slide off. Was surprised at how well it worked and my daughter in love is ordering her one too. I got the pink one and it’s so pretty. I used to have a holder from the 70’s but I dropped it in my closet and it broke. I use this, as do many other machine crafters, to catch the little bits that accumulate when I am weeding vinyl & HTV for the items I make & sell at my shop. I love this hinged catcher more than the plain upright ones. A bit more expensive, it is SO worth the cost. When you slide your weeding tool out along the thinner area so the scrap is removed from your tool, it is easy to pull hard enough to pop the upright models off your work surface which is so frustrating!! By getting this adjustable catcher, bending it at more of a 45 degree angle keeps the catcher firmly attached to out work surface — no need to stop & restick it time & again. Size wise, it holds a ton!! I often craft in big spurts, working all day & into the night creating items that usually incorporate some sort of adhesive or iron-on vinyl in them. I never have to empty this catcher until the end of my happy crafting binge! You will not regret buying this scrap catcher. This is such a genius invention! The set up is super easy as long as you have a smooth and flat surface to use. I like how it keeps the nail polish bottle in the holder and you can rotate the holder to an angle that works for you. The packaging was simple.
