Really nice, but ankle shape affects fit and they run small.

These slippers look great in person, with a vivid teal and attractive grey, as well as a clean, minimalist design. The inside is extremely soft, and the bottoms feel sturdy without being heavy or awkward to walk in. They’re warm and comfortable on the feet, and the outer material kind of reminds me of old‑fashioned snowsuit fabric. Sizing is where things get tricky. I ordered the men’s 7–8, and even though I’m a woman with wide feet who normally wears a women’s 8.5, I could fit into them- just barely. The foot-bed length and width was fine, but the ankle shape was not. My husband, who wears a men’s 8.5–9 EE, couldn’t get into them at all. This despite the fact that they would have fit him well if they had been the larger size. (Made well for wide feet.) The length runs short, and because the width matches the length, the overall fit is smaller than expected, even with the generous width‑to‑length ratio. I do have high arches, but as a reminder, I ordered what was supposed to be 2 sizes up already. The ankle shape and length is unusual. Unless your ankles sit farther back, above the heel (where most people's don't), the front edge presses against the ankle- causing it to want to slide forward, which makes the slippers want to slide off. The back ridge is firm but low, so it doesn’t do much to keep them on during walking. Ideally they would move the ankle opening forward a little bit. They’re fine for wearing around the house, and probably for porches or basements, but due to this issue, I wouldn’t use them outdoors even though they’re labeled for indoor/outdoor wear. I will still wear them, but due to the weird ankle design, they will not get as much use as they otherwise would. The materials feel high‑quality, and the construction seems durable, but I’m always cautious about memory foam in footwear. It isn’t an obvious layer here, so time will tell how it holds up. Overall, they’re warm, soft, and nice‑looking, but the fit and ankle shape make them better suited for someone whose foot shape matches the shorter length. I tried to reflect the ankle thing in my pics, but the camera kept wanting to make it look like there was more room than there was. Read more

My husband loves these house shoes

My husband loves to wear house slippers, no matter the time of year. He has always liked the moccasin style house slippers with a high back. I have asked if he wanted something with a lower back because he is always stepping on the heals, but he says no because "How am I going to keep them on my feet without a heal?" but he continued to just step on the back. His house shoes were starting to wear out, and when I saw how nice these look, I took a chance and just ordered them for him. When they arrived, I showed them to him and he looked upset because they didn't have a full heal or look like what he normally wears. I asked him to just try them for a day to give me some feedback for this review. That was February 5th. It is now February 21, and he has been wearing them non stop. He absolutely loves them and wears them all the time. He says the memory foam is really comfortable and the inside is super soft. He wears a size 11, so I got him the 11/12 size and they fit him well. The top of the shoes can be adjusted with the draw string. The outside looks like the material of a puff jacket, and appears to be water repellant. To my husband's surprise he doesn't have any problems keeping them on his feet when he's walking, despite what he imagined. The souls of the shoes are non skid so even if the bottom of the shoes get wet, like getting the mail in the rain, the shoes don't slip on the wet floor. Read more

Good soles. Open-back style lacked stability.

The GOEWY slippers arrived wrapped in tissue paper in a sturdy cardboard box. I liked the skid-resistant rubber soles which is both beneficial for inside or outside use. The stitching on the material is straight and tight. The inside is a soft cotton-wool blend, with memory foam, per the seller's description. Seller advises these slippers are machine washable on a cold water cycle and air dry. I don't know how well these slippers will fare after washing/drying as I haven't had a reason to do so. I used the optional elastic tightening feature on the top of the slippers, which gave me a more secure fit. My issue is maintaining stability when walking with these slippers. The open-back construction of these particular slippers may work for some, but not for me. I felt unstable when walking, and I found I had to concentrate on my gait in order to keep these slippers on my feet. I would have preferred a fully enclosed slipper style. Three complimentary color combos were available. At the time of my ordering, these slippers were priced a little high at $29.99. Read more

Comfortable Foam, but Sizing and Design Flaws Miss the Mark

I really wanted to love these slippers, but they unfortunately fall short in a few key areas. The biggest issue is the sizing accuracy. I wear a size 8 and ordered the 7-8 range, but they run notably small and feel much more like a true size 7. My feet barely fit inside, so if you are on the larger end of a size bracket, I strongly recommend going a full size up to ensure your heel actually stays on the footbed. Despite the tight fit, the memory foam is surprisingly comfortable. Even with the sizing struggle, there is enough cushioning that I can still walk around in them without the soles feeling thin or hard. However, the adjustment string and clasp are a major design flaw. The location is not ideal; as I walk, the plastic toggle constantly hits the top of my foot, which becomes very annoying very quickly. Given these functional flaws and the frustrating hardware placement, I find these to be on the high side regarding price. They provide decent cushion, but the overall experience doesn't quite justify the cost. Read more
