I wanted to turn my old tablet into a kitchen home unit for my wife and I to enjoy music and watch movies while we are cooking in the kitchen. This product was perfect. It easily mounted on the wall over the kitchen sink without the need to drill any holes in the wall. The mounting tape holds securely and supports the weight of the tablet. As mentioned- product is very stable and will absolutely secure your phone without fear of it tipping or falling, especially in the vertical orientation with the cord plugged into the bottom to keep it centered. Install is simple- clean the back of the holder and the spot on the wall, install the 3M tape on the holder, remove film and press on the wall. That's it. I gave the product 4 stars because one of the design attributes that make the holder so stable actually create one functional inconvenience... the "feet" of the cradle come up high enough to block a portion of your phone's screen, so you can't use all the functions of your phone or reach all the apps near the bottom of your screen while it's in the cradle. I have mine mounted on the wall of my home gym and have my phone connected to my sound system, and I have to lift the phone out of the cradle if I want to skip/advance to next song. So when I saw it amazon, I thought it was aluminum, apparently i didn't read lol. It is plastic, but it is constructed well. It comes with all the foam/adhesive needed, and the adhesive is decent quality...so far. One suggestion though, I would send it with black foam since the holder is black, it just looks better. I bought this as a tablet holder for my personal theater (bathroom), It works great. This little shelf is perfect for college dorms. My daughter has her bed lofted so she didn’t really have any place to keep her phone except in her bed. I wasn’t too comfortable with that so I got her this to try. It came with adhesives and she stuck it on the cinderblock wall that her bed is up against. It was perfect! Worked so well her roommate wanted one too so I got another one for her in the black color. They just got done with a semester and it survived with flying colors. I highly recommend this product.
