Almost perfect boxes for general storage at a good value
We just went through a basement remodel and had some old cardboard storage boxes from a large Swedish company that were falling apart and we had enough with them. Our desired boxes would a) fit a 12" height for the storage unit we would be using, b) be made of a neutral fabric, c) have full lids that would easily fit well, d) be sturdy enough for reams of paper, e) have sturdy storage handles to carry and f) have some labeling mechanism. We would be storing a mix of somewhat heavy objects, paper reams, cords and cable, computer parts, etc. The TYEERS boxes covered nearly all our needs except for f, the labeling mechanism. I nearly docked a star for that but I purchased the item knowing it did not have it so that is on me. Overall the units in the short time we have had them have exceeded my expectations and we shopped around across many brands. I'd probably give it a 4.5 star if I could. Plusses - Good height and size. The large worked well for us. - Fabric looks good and we like the color. The black is almost like a dark gray with some variation in the texture - Side handles seem to be sturdy and for us hold a full box of paper - Lid goes on easily and is deep enough to not fall off - Box holds its shape well - While seemingly expensive, it's comparable to other options I've seen and seems to be of better quality. Minuses - No labeling mechanism. I would have loved to see a small sleeve for a label on the front side. We will have to instead attach a paper card on a string to the hole opening. - On one or two of the box fronts there is what appears to be a tiny bit too much fabric or it's the way the product is filled. It's not super noticeable and seems to be primarily aesthetic rather than functional. - Lid when removed doesn't hold its shape. Just a minor issue so when you put the lid back on you have to open the lid shape. Read more
