Product Review: Air Fryer for Family Meals A Detailed Look at Performance, Features, and Practical Use As someone who has gone through three different air fryers in the past few years, I rely on these appliances for quick, healthy, and convenient meals. My latest addition has been this large-capacity air fryer, which I've used for everything from weeknight dinners to preparing meals for gatherings. Below, I break down my experience with its performance, features, and how it compares to previous models. Pros • Excellent Ceramic Finish: The ceramic coating not only gives the basket a premium look but also makes it non-stick, making cleanup effortless. • Easy to Clean: After cooking a batch of BBQ chicken wings and roasted vegetables for a family of five, I simply placed the basket in the dishwasher. It came out spotless, saving me time and effort. • Very Quiet Operation: The air fryer is impressively quiet—even quieter than my kitchen vent set on low. I was able to hold a conversation nearby without raising my voice. • Generous Capacity: It comfortably fits enough chicken breasts or steaks for four to five people. For example, I managed to cook five medium chicken breasts at once, ensuring everyone at the table was served at the same time. • High Heat Capability: With a maximum temperature of 450°F, it’s perfect for getting a crispy finish on fries or achieving a nice sear on proteins. • User-Friendly Controls: The interface is intuitive. Whether using the digital panel or the accompanying app, I could easily set the time and temperature to suit different recipes. Cons • No "Shake" Feature: Unlike some other models, this air fryer doesn’t remind or prompt you to shake or turn the food during cooking. This means you have to set your own reminders, especially for recipes like fries or nuggets that benefit from even circulation. • Burn-In Process Required: Before first use, the manufacturer recommends running the air fryer at 450°F for a few hours in a well-ventilated area. I placed the unit in my garage for over two hours, during which it released noticeable fumes. This step is essential, but it does delay first use and requires planning ahead. • Thorough Pre-Use Cleaning Needed: After the burn-in, I gave the basket and tray a thorough wash in the dishwasher to remove any residual odors—an extra step, but important for food safety and taste. Comparison with Previous Air Fryers My previous air fryer, the COSORI Air Fryer Pro-Smart 5.8QT, was a favorite because of its useful “Shake” feature—an automatic reminder to shake or flip food for even crisping. However, its smaller basket often meant cooking in batches when preparing meals for my family of four or more, which was less convenient and more time-consuming. This newer model, while lacking the shake reminder, solves the capacity issue by allowing me to cook larger quantities at once. For families or those who entertain guests frequently, the larger size is a significant advantage. Conclusion Overall, this air fryer is an excellent choice for households needing a larger capacity and easy cleaning. While it does require a bit of prep work before first use and lacks the handy “Shake” reminder, its quiet operation, high heat range, and ability to cook meals for five people at once make it a worthwhile investment. I recommend it for families or anyone looking to upgrade from a smaller unit. Read more

As die-hard Ninja brand fans, until Ninja customer service failed us in our first need for help, we were very challenged to find a good air fryer with a large capacity, durability, and operational options. After testing 10 large-capacity air fryers, our recommendation is the Typhur 8QT Sync Air Fryer with Wireless Meat Thermometer—the best on the market as of November 2025. We will never go back to Ninja after experiencing this company and its quality. Priced well for the quality, with fast heating times, ease of use, a rechargeable thermometer featuring a magnet charge base incorporated into the lid, and a digital display, offering great cooking capacity. Dishwasher safe, and easy to clean and operate. VERY QUIET. Phone alert application to remotely control your unit, with cook end notifications. Everything came out crispy, even, and has so many uses we can't list them all. The only thing this unit does not do is pressure cook, as our Ninja® was 12-1, not 9-1, as in this unit, which is not a big sacrifice. SOLID BUY AS THEY COME, AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SO AMAZING IN ANSWERING QUESTIONS, KIND DISPOSITION, AND BEING ACCOMMODATING TO POTENTIAL ISSUES IF YOU SHOULD EXPERIENCE ANY. Read more

Have had this for +2 weeks now. Replaced a Cosori purchased in 2022, that we used a lot and enjoyed. This Typhur 8QT Sync is a pleasure to use .. from the easy to read and select controls to the fantastic temperature probe. We use this so much more frequently, it now sits on our counter. The ceramic coated basket and bottom plate make cleanup a breeze. We love to charcoal grill our steaks, but when its in the mid twenties with +4" of snow on the ground, its hard to justify all the work and cold. Using the probe to cook our ribeye steak in the Typhur Synch resulted in a perfectly cooked and tender steak that we thoroughly enjoyed without the hassle of cooking outside in inhospitable weather. This product is highly recommended. Read more

This is on the bigger side, compared to my previous one. The basket is 10x10, which is the size I was looking for. The display is on the top, which could be an issue for shorter folks that put it on the kitchen counter. The air fryer is very quiet, and I like that the beeps are on the quieter side as well. I have used it to make fries (not frozen ones) and chicken tenders. the best part is that it comes with a integrated probe, that actually tells the air fryer, the internal temperature of meat. Once the air fryer detects that the set internal temperature has reached, it automatically shuts down. The chicken I cooked, turned out really good and was juicy from inside. No more guess work. I also like the app that comes with it. The pp is well designed and has a ton of recipes. Cool part of the app is that you can select a recipe, and then you can press start cooking button from the app, which will set the temperature and time on the air fryer. You still have to go to the air fryer and press the start button though. I hope in future they can change that to allow users to start air fryer from the app itself. It's very easy to clean because of the ceramic coating. Read more

Not sure you NEED this, but it is fancy and quiet. This looks like an appliance in your kitchen where most air fryer look tacky like a microwave or toaster. I used the probe to make a few salmon fillets and it actually worked really nicely. I found it pretty easy to clean, just hot water and sink sprayer did 90% of it. Only gripe is, like most air fryers, when you take the tray out, it's a little big and heavy with 1 hand and there's no real way to set it down because the bottom is hot and uneven. I stack a couple pot holders and set it on that but I wish it came with like a little counter dock so you can put it down securely and then use tongs to get your food out Read more
