Chicken Thighs are one of my favorite cuts of meat. I've order this bag of frozen thighs many times over. I have never had an issue with excess fat, freezer burn or anything. I love cooking these up to serve in a variety of dishes too. Some words of wisdom for those in need, you don't have to thaw these, but if you're going to cook them, you'll need to cook them with enough lubrication in the pan, and at a high enough heat that you cook off the excess moisture quickly. To get a beautiful golden crust on these, you have to make sure that excess moisture is gone or you're just going to end up boiling them. However, since you're cooking from frozen, you'll have to lower the temperature once you've cooked out that excess moisture, to let it cook all the way through. If you're going to thaw them first, make sure to pat them dry and maybe even salt them about 30 minutes before you cook them, covered, on the counter. Pat away the extra moisture from salting too. This will allow them to heat up slowly to room temperature so it doesn't cool the pan as much when you put them in. These are also great to throw into sauces. I've never thrown them into a sauce and had them come out chewy or tough. You can let them unthaw in the sauce. I've also popped them onto a wire rack in the stove and if you're concerned about excess fats, it's definitely the way to go. My favorite recipe for this is pan frying the chicken from frozen, in olive oil, seasoned with garlic, salt, black pepper and onion, and then served chopped on a bed of ice berg lettuce, broccoli slaw, bacon pieces, cheese, croutons or sunflower seeds, and then drizzled with the juices of the pan--no dressing needed. Packed with flavor, and so simple. One thing I love about these bags, is that the chicken seems to be flash frozen separately, because they don't tend to stick together in one lump. It makes it really easy just to fish one or two out for a quick meal. I have no complaints, and the reviews I read where they have problems, I have to wonder if they're just struggling with proper technique when it comes to preparing these. Read more

I cook them for my 6 rescue cats, shred & chop medium fine and use as a topping treat on their canned cat food. My only disappointment was that this particular bag had more fat than I cared for which I had to cut off. They were poorly cut up in all sorts of odd shapes and didn’t look like thighs at all. Of course the cats like home cookin’ - no complaints there. I had plenty to freeze for later treats. In a pinch I’d buy these again but, honestly, Wal-Mart has better frozen chicken thighs. Read more

This doesn't have great flavor and does contain both flavoring and a lot of water. It's not a high quality product at all. But for a fast meal, it is really easy to grab one or two and throw them in anything that will get them to a safe temperature. I've baked them, sauteed them, put them in soup on the stove, used them in instant pot recipes.... I've never microwaved one but honestly I'm pretty sure you could. So if that's what you need, you found it. Read more

I've been reading some of these reviews and have no idea if they are using the same product I am lol I have been buying them for around 6 months now and never, ever got a bad bag. I have to trim the normal amount of fat off them, but its nothing out of control. I don't cook them frozen, I defrost them in the fridge the night before, and if you don't cook them frozen you have to rinse them to get the crystals off. It says that on the package. Pat them dry and cook them how ever you want to. According to some of the reviews they don't taste like chicken either lol. They taste like chicken, and are no different then any other boneless skinless thigh with the amount of fat to be trimmed. So saying all this, these are way worth the money, and the time saved skinning and de boning them yourself!!! Read more

This chicken itself was fine, but the cut of the chicken thighs was the worst job I've ever seen. Even carving chicken at home I've done a better job. Thighs were wildly inconsistent in size with bone shards and an entire joint still attached. Add in the random chunks of meat in the bottom of the bag and using this chicken was an unappetizing process, but the final product was fine. I only bought these out of necessity as everything else was out. I won't do so again. Read more
