First off, I LOVE high bay / UFO lights, and these guys are no exception. Their light turns on promptly, burns brightly (there is something about the warm feeling you get when a high efficiency LED puts off enough thermal energy to warm your hand just by holding it a few inches in front of it), but I digress. These lights are bright. I do not have a high bay shop, but I have a pasture, see pic 1. The illuminated area is out to 100ft with night mode turned off on an I-phone. That blip in the background is a donkey at 200ft, only illumination is this light. It claims an IP65 rating, and I have no reason to question that. Everything looks well sealed; I see gaskets on the lens plate. Note that the IP65 doesn’t apply to connections, so you’re going to need a waterproof splice if you want to use this where it might get wet because of the standard 110V plug. Mounting (as a high bay) is easy with an included eye bolt, which makes it easy with just a simple carabiner on the shop-side, note the power cable is only 4ft, so make sure the distance from light to plug is less than that so you don’t end up having to splice extensions. If you do want to get creative with mounting, the fixture accepts up to a 20mm long, 10mm x 1.5mm pitch bolt; not US standard. That got me the first time I worked with these, too. For the price on these lights, I can give them 5 stars, all day. I, seriously, have not come across a UFO light on Amazon, yet, that I was unhappy with at their price point. They really blow big box LED options out of the water. I may sound like a fanboy, and I am, so much so that I put 4 of these UFOs on a 15ft light tower and had a neighbor 200 yards away ask me to move the trailer with the light tower because it was keeping them awake at night and made it “look like a crime scene was being investigated”. This review is for the UFO LED High Bay Light: 150W 5000K Led Shop Lights 21000LM IP65 AC100-277V with US Plug 5' Cable - UFO Light for Warehouse Basement Factory Studio, which was selling for $46 at the time of this review - SEE MY NOTE at the end of this review. BRIGHT! In a nutshell, that is the review. This thing is definitely meant to be mounted up high, not on an 8ft ceiling; it is too bright to mount that low. I added this in my shop up in the trusses to supplement rows of LED shop lights, and this is a game-changer for visibility compared to just the rows of 4 ft LED shop lights I had. I am going to order a few more of these to place directly overhead on machines where added visibility is important... lathe, mill, etc. For $46 each, these are well worth the money for how much light they put out. NOTE - If you are not familiar with Amazon Vine, it is basically Amazon trading products for honest reviews. NOTE that the items are NOT Free because Vine Members have to pay Income Tax on the value of the item, so the product is discounted but definitely not free, more like 1/3 to 1/2 price. As such, I don't order things that I don't NEED and USE!!! This is an important distinction because it should give you more faith that my reviews are not some fake nonsense boilerplate... I USE WHAT I ORDER, and I don't hold back if something is junk because I still had to pay for it... and this program actually bumped me up to a higher tax bracket in 2025, so it definitely wasn't free! I now have 3 of these high bay lights and I've found all of them - including this one, my newest - to be great at lighting up large areas and thus for me a really good value. I will be using this one in one of my back yard sheds in its loft as things get loft up there in the dark (and hopefully if any little critters are up there, the very bright light will scare them away!). I can't install this in my shed yet because we still have more than a foot of snow here (southwestern New Hampshire) and it's WAY too cold to work outside, so I initially tested this in my garage. I took 3 photos, one of the light just sitting on the garage freezer, then one of the decorative stuff I have on the garage wall above the freezer (what can I say, I like to look at pretty pictures when I'm working out there!) - that's with the light OFF, then the same wall with the light ON. As I noted, it's VERY bright - you can't stare directly into it or you will be seeing after-images for a while (and your eyes may hurt). But it definitely works! Overall I am very happy with this and will likely just use it as an extra light in my garage until this spring when I can get back out to the shed and install it there. At its current coupon price of $39.09, it's a good value too! Read more

Pros: • Seriously bright - lights up the whole space fast • Clean, neutral 5000K light • Simple install with a plug + 5 ft cord • Solid and built for shop use (IP65-rated housing) Consider: • Bright enough to be harsh in small rooms (not cozy lighting) • You’ll want to think about placement - it can throw strong glare if it’s in your direct line of sight I put this light in my garage workshop, and it instantly changed the room. The moment it turns on, it’s like flipping from “garage lighting” to “actual workspace.” I can see small parts, labels, and tool markings without doing that squint-and-lean-in thing. Installation was straightforward. It’s a high bay-style fixture, but this version being plug-in with a 5-foot cable makes it way less of a project. I mounted it up high, routed the cord neatly, plugged it in, and that was basically it. No special wiring adventure required on my end. The light color is a crisp 5000K, which is exactly what I want in a workshop: bright, clear, and not yellow. It’s also wide-spreading - it doesn’t feel like a tight spotlight, it fills the area. Build quality is sturdy, and the IP65 rating is a plus for a garage where dust happens and moisture can be a thing. One note: this is work lighting. If you install it in a smaller basement room or somewhere you’re trying to keep a softer vibe, it may be overkill. In a garage or shop, though, it’s exactly the point. After using it, my old lighting feels like I was working by candlelight. Read more
