I'm very pleased with this adaptor. All functions work with my iPhone from the controls on my ear buds: volume, start / stop, and advance. Having purchased several of the same adaptor from other companies, I found that they often didn't allow all the controls to work. Bought in 2021 - Dead in early 2025/ Lasted only 4 years with very moderate use, maybe once monthly. Seemed to be good quality and well made but it began skipping as through the connection kept getting lost. The connection points on the lightening adapter end are clean and not visibly corroded, so I think it might be a problem in the cable itself. In general I feel is was well made (no rough use or little hands using it, just me for walks occasionally). I see that this one is the highest rated on line (as compared with the "apple certified" ones and cheap ones. I am considering buying another but not sure if I should try UGreen again. I gave it 4 stars because it started wearing out in what I feel like was moderate # of uses. Is it too much to ask that items you care for gently continue to work and don't become landfill? Sigh. So far so good. Just got it this morning and so far I’m quite happy. I was worried that maybe the iPhone wouldn’t recognize the adapter and the hearing health feature wouldn’t work but no. Works fine. The audio is wayy batter than other third party lightning to 3.5 dongles. My only demerit is that it is quite big. A bit massive actually especially compared to the now dead (RIP) apple adapter. The built quality seems pretty good. And the connection quality seems fine so far. It’s pretty easy to use just plug in and confirm on the iPhone what you are plugging in. Read more
