I needed this cable to determine if I could download images from a second hand Sony a35 digital camera I'd bought. As the description specified, it was a mini-usb to c compatible cable capable of data transfer, not just power. It worked perfectly! Read more

Works with my older Garmin GPS
I got this in order to connect my older Garmin GPS (to update the maps) that has a "mini USB" slot on the GPS (pre-switch over to USB C) to my newer MacBook computer that only has USB-C ports. Worked for charging and data transfer. Fastest speeds were around 40ish mbs/s. Cheaper to buy this cord than replace the whole GPS. I recommend it if you have an older Garmin GPS that you're trying to extend the life of it and get those "Free Lifetime Map Updates". Cord will only be used for updating GPS so won't see heavy usage, but seems to be well built. Read more

Ideal for my MacBook Pro
This cable helped me have a suitable alternative for a microphone I use with my MacBook Pro and other devices that have USB-C as their main ports (such as a Kindle Fire).
