I read lots of reviews, looking for a sturdy, effective, adjustable desktop stand that would hold the setting I gave it and allow me lots of angle options for whatever I might be doing. This is the one, made of sturdy metal, with a flat, perforated back platform that could dissipate any heat my tablet might give off during use, with fairly stiff joints that, once set, hold their setting perfectly and are not likely to wear out or become loose. The placement of the joints and the curve of the bottom part of the stand ensures my tablet will not tip off the top or a side, and that platform has rubberized grip strips to improve that hold even more. The stand is perfectly weighted to provide good balance in every position I might want to place my tablet in. And, as an added bonus, when my tablet and stand are sitting unused on my desktop, my mini keyboard slides conveniently out of the way to rest on the flat base of the stand under my tablet. The design and build of this stand are absolutely perfect for my uses and it appears to be of a quality I can expect to easily last a very long time. This is a very well designed, well made and versatile stand, and a great value, as many other reviews have commented. I would like to note that it functions surprisingly well as a lap stand for reading in bed with an iPad, even when prone. It's stability in this situation can be improved by resting it on a flat surface, for which I use my removeable iPad folio cover. This stand provides more height and a broader range of tilt angles than most dedicated lap stands (such as the pillow type), which allows for better viewing when lying down. In fact, the iPad can be raised several inches above its normal resting brackets, and will stick magnetically to the metal back plate itself. in this positon, the plate can actually be rotated to vertical or slightly beyond without the iPad falling. I recently purchased this UGREEN tablet stand to use with my iPad for Microsoft Teams and Zoom meetings. It works perfect for that! I also am able to use it to mount my Logitech Webcam to get it positioned better for meetings, because mounting the webcam to the top of my monitor is a little too high. This stand places the webcam in a MUCH better position, more at eye level, and I can adjusted it easily, as needed. As for the quality of the stand, it is VERY nice. The construction is solid, and very well made. I love the aluminum. Adjusting the height is very easy, and the stand stays in place. I've always liked UGREEN products, and I definitely wasn't disappointed in this product. I decided between this stand and another brand, and am definitely glad I choose this one. The dark gray color is also perfect for me. I would definitely recommend this UGREEN tablet stand to others, and would choose this one again, given the choice. Read more

This is a well made unit. The construction and material (aluminum, I think) is high quality. The extension arms are strong, very stiff and they stay put! The back plate is well constructed and strong. It has slots for ventilation and a couple of textured (vinyl?) strips to help hold the tablet or portable flat monitor in place, (as in using a Raspberry Pi or any portable mini computer's screen.). I have a15" USB/HDMI flat monitor that fits this perfectly. The plates bottom plates or lips are formed wide, curved and extend down and out enough to hold the tablet securely without interfering visually. The base is made of the same material which looks good and consistent and is strong enough to be stable! Did I mention that I like this unit - (I have two of them)! This stand is extremely stable and sturdy and I would have kept it if it wasn't for the fact that it's very heavy. I ended up returning it and keeping the other stand this brand offers since it was a lot lighter making it much more portable while still being stable for writing during lectures. As a med student, I spend so much time in lecture looking at my iPad, a stand was a must for the neck strain. This one is made of a heavy duty metal and the design/angle adjustment/height makes it perfect for taking notes on an iPad during class. Overall great value for the money, just wasn't for me since I already have so much weight to carry everyday in my backpack. Read more

This stand is much more durable than expected! It is exactly as described in listing with multiple angle settings for easy viewing of your tablet hands free. I purchased it for airline travel to hold my tablet upright on the table tray to read and look at my movies more easily when traveling. It also works great tabletop or desktop if desired. I was expecting it to have screws or some sort of nuts to tighten to keep in positions when adjusted but it has enclosed tension mechanisms that maintain the position to stay as placed. The construction is of cast aluminum material which is very durable and much nicer than expected for the price paid. Definitely satisfied with the product and would buy again.
