The media could not be loaded. I first bought this hat as a gag gift for my buddies at the cabin. But we had rain one day and I was caught out without a raincoat to walk back to my truck. I had put this in my backpack, just in case and this was the time that was the case. I did purchase a really nice tree umbrella from Amazon for less than $20: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0869CJDFB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 that is very nice. But when walking without a rain jacket or proper hat, you'll be soaked before you get to camp or the truck. This hat saved the day. It is wide enough to cover my shoulders and front and it even covered part of my backpack. It's not nearly as rainproof as a poncho or coat, but then it also doesn't get you all sweaty like those do either. It fit down over my hat without too much trouble and as you can see in the video, you'll hear me say that it is uncomfortable putting it on as the elastic band is a bit sharp and scratched my forehead. But over a hat, it's not uncomfortable. It is a little difficult to maneuver in and around trees. My hat goes off to the moose, elk, and deer with antlers that can run through trees and brush without bouncing their antlers or getting them caught and falling down, which unfortunately did happen to me a time or two till I got out into thinner woods. It does cover the head although the elastic that it covers is kind of flimsy but it works. I have used it and it is convenient. Hands free when you quickly walk to and from car. May use also at a park etc. Read more
