I'd like to think I am handy with technology, I have a technician radio license and use chirp software to program other radios. This thing came with some random frequencies programmed in it, so it would not work with your basic walkie talkie. I was happy to read that this radio can be programmed however the chirp software could not connect. I had to dig, but was able to find the factory software and programmed in FRS frequencies so that I could use this with our other walkie talkies. Problem is the thing wont receive audio. It will transmit, and the light will come on like its receiving a transmission but no audio. I have tried tweaking the settings to no avail.
