I am new to sublimation and this is my first time trying to sublimate tumblers. These tumblers are great! Since I am new to this process I went on YouTube and followed a few videos and really didn't follow the sellers information. One of the reasons is because I am using a Cricut Mug Press and not an oven. The tumblers of course are taller than the Cricut Mug Press so I had to adapt. Also, there isn't anyway to know the temperature of the mug press so I had to take the information from one of the videos. The tumblers came out great and I am very happy with the way they look. My camera doesn't do them justice. The following is the process I used: - I wrapped the sublimation paper very tight around the tumbler. I took the heat resistant tape and taped around the tumbler many times until I was satisfied the paper was not going to shift. To make sure I didn't get a line where the paper edges meet, I cut the edges into a wave like pattern and when I overlapped the edges you can't see any lines in the finished product. - I then covered every part of the tumbler with parchment paper (you can use butcher paper but I didn't have it) and taped the crap out of that. I made sure to cover the open top and the bottom with parchment paper because of the metal. - I placed the tumbler in the provided shrink wrap and used a inexpensive hair dryer to shrink wrap the tumbler. nI have a heat gun but thought that may burn holes in the wrap and the hair dryer worked great. - I wrapped a silicone sheet around the bottom half and placed it in the Cricut Mug Press for 4 minutes. Then I turned the tumbler 180 degrees and put it back in the press for another 4 minutes. After the 8 minutes was done, I flipped the tumbler over and put the top in the silicone and pressed it for 2 minutes. When the first 2 minutes I was done I turned the tumbler 180 degrees and pressed it for another 2 minutes. The tumblers look great! The tumbler covers fit securely and nothing leaks even when I held it upside down or put it on its side. It retains ice or hot for a good part of the day and seems to hold both hot and cold temperatures as long as my Yeti does. I like that they come with the pad for the bottom and with metal straws. I didn't use the sublimation paper that came with it as I use A-Sub paper which I like. I bought a few tumblers from a large craft store but by the time I got the tumblers home, one had started to peel. I returned all of them. UGH THESE ARE SO GOOD. they sublimate SO well and have so many extras included like the rubber bottoms, straws, and boxes with ribbon. These also seem like really good quality, they aren’t super thin and seem well made, but also are CONSISTENT with the outcomes. Bulk buying these isn’t necessarily cheap but when you look at the individual cost per tumbler it absolutely levels out, especially if you are selling finished products for profit. I love these tumblers for my sublimation. They do not have a flat bottom but that's okay for me. I love that they come with shrink wraps so I don't have to make an additional purchase. Unfortunately the lids do break easily if they fall - I have had tumblers (3 times now, 3 separate tumblers) where they have fallen off a table or have slipped out of my arms and when they land, the plastic top cracks and breaks being completely unusable. I also don't use it for hot temperatures, just mainly cold drinks (especially since there is no handle) so I'm not sure on the hot temperature quality. It's not a bad price for the amount you get.
