The biggest issue I've had with this dock is that it is pretty unreliable as a charger-and-tv-dock. Oftentimes it will not charge my Switch while plugged into the tv. Once the tv is turned off however, it will charge my console battery back to 100%. This isn't a huge deal-breaker for me personally, since my play sessions are never long enough for the battery to die on me, but I can see how it could be a sticking point for other people. Beyond that, this is a fantastic dock to travel with. It's small enough to easily fit in a small backpack or bag and does what I need it to do. Read more

I've been having trouble for months with the official switch dock. constantly not connecting to the TV or monitor I was trying to use. I looked up everything and plugged everything in in the right order. Sometimes it would work. Sometimes it wouldn't. Sometimes I'd change out the hdmi cable and it would work. Other times it wouldn't but if i turned the HDMI around then it would. Anyways it was literally one of those black and white commercials of frustration. this thing is smaller than I expected but has enough ports for a speaker and ethernet (with adapter). This dog for the Nintendo switch is such an upgrade compared to the ridiculously expensive dock that comes with or that you would buy separately for the original Nintendo docking system and you cannot scratch your screen while inserting it into the dock because there's no brick walls to rub against there's a springboard where the USB c Port is so that it's protected while it's not in use and when you place the switch down onto it the springboard goes down with it very easily and gently and sits down with it and it is such an amazing product it's so small it's literally so small you could put it in your pocket it has HDMI capability has USB capability 3.0 and 2.0 and USBC so it's more than worth the money and I am so satisfied with it if you have a Nintendo switch you need to buy buy this and ditch your old school doc! We bought this charging dock for our Switch because the one that came with the Switch was no longer working. My son took his switch to spend the night at a friends and was going to put the Switch on the dock to charge when he accidently dropped it. It seemed fine and came on with no problem, so he proceeded to put it on the charger. A few days later he went to play it and realized that the Switch would not turn on at all. He thought maybe it hadn't charged properly so we put it back on the docking station and checked it again a few hours later. When he realized it still wouldn't turn on he brought the problem to us. We then did all the basics, checked plugs, for lights to come on, and tried other chargers. When nothing worked I pulled all our paperwork on the Switch and realized that the original warranty had expired, but thankfully we bought an insurance policy good for 3 years through NFM. With that we were able to send it in for repair. They returned it to us about 10 days later and it was working fine. Once again my son used it till it was dead and went to put it back on the charger. that evening he went to pull it off, and it would not turn on again, we tried another charger just in case and still nothing. It could be that this is just defective... but it seems clear it is definitely the problem. Read more

This docking station is how Nintendo should have designed theirs to begin with, and then integrated the screen on the switch with the games being played on the big screen. That would have been awesome! I love the fact that I don't have to pull the whole thing up and flip it over then open some stupid lid to get to where the cables plug in, they're just right there! I eventually got my original docking station working the day this was delivered, but decided to use and keep this one instead because I like the way it works just so much better. Read more
