This is one of the cheapest lightweight stands of this kind I could find. It is definitely sturdy, and is a daily driver for on-the-move use for me. It weighs less than you'd expect, and has a large range of adjustable height. The price is roughly 1/3 of competitors. The only downside is that the feet length aren't adjustable. Read more

Lightweight should be obvious but if you try to put a giant sonic or full size studio light on these they will flex/bend. Not break, there’s no damage, but they will flex under the weight Read more

I'm using this as an iPad podium, and I write on the iPad so it needs to be stable. It's not rock solid, but it's pretty close. I do wish it was an inch shorter so it would fit into my small suitcase, but it would go into a 22" suitcase without difficulty. My older (aluminum) stand was actually a tad lighter, but only by a few ounces, and that older stand wasn't nearly as stable. Read more

Well made. I use it both for a light and microphone stand. It’s compact and light to carry. I believe that Ulanzi is a good brand. I, also have a Ulanzi & Conan Zero F 38 tripod which I like. I have been trying to get a replacement part for, but the Ulanzi customer service is non- existent. I have emailed/ messaged them to no avail. I called a dealer, they had no idea about how to contact them for a replacement part. If someone at Ulanzi reads this, please contact me. My tripod serial number is Zero F030586. You should have my in formation in your registry. Thank you. Read more

Stand will not "STAND" in tripod mode. It slips little by little until all three legs are flat on the ground. When a heavy-ish light is on it, it will slip even more until it topples. If I use a much lighter light, it will work fine. I use a C-stand for my big key light but this will be for 12x48 softboxes and that is the MAX weight I think it will hold. If they weren't SO dang compact for travel, I'd buy two more C-stands instead. The price is really close to the same. $125 vs these for $99. If I could do it again, I'd pick another one. If SmallRig made them, I'd trust them. Read more

Why did you pick this product vs others?: These stands are incredibly light and break down so small! These are perfect for travel or even with my clients when I need a quick stand to add a light to! Read more

I ordered this brand new and was actually sent a used one. I contacted amazon and they promptly sent me a new one and I am glad they did. This is a 5 star tripod for my needs and will be coming with me on many different shoots. The bag/bluetooth clicker/phone holder are decent but really just nice to haves in the end. The tripod / monopod is really great though. It's super light and folds/unfolds quickly. It's really well built and sure, it's a tad flimsy at max extension but it's really a monopod and less of a tripod. I use this with an insta 360 action camera and it works great for taking 360 photos and videos. It's virtually invisible in the shot (you just see the feet) and so light I can take it with me everywhere. I have attached my Fujifilm mirrorless to it and it held up, but I wouldn't put anything too heavy on it. If I ever have a need for multiple lights or other accessories to be put on the side, I'd certainly pick up another for that. Read more

I use small LED panels for most location interviews but the stands that came with are flimsy, bulky and heavy. These are perfect. Well worth the small investment for something easy to travel with and ready to rock when you get to the gig. I also use one of these as a stand for X-Y microphone stereo recording situations.
