Well designed, super adjustable, fantastic value, high quality, easy to setup. My only gripe is it doesn’t fit within the silhouette of the iphone. But that is so minor in comparison to its great qualities. Read more
Great gadget! Works as advertised. I find it pretty handy as a selfie stick and a phone stand. Read more
I have tried this tripod with an iPhone 17 and an iPhone 17 Pro. This little gadget serves many purposes (including some you hadn't thought of before using it). It is useful as a phone stand, as a holder to use your phone as a webcam (for example on a vanilla monitor for your Mac mini), and as a tripod or tripod attachment with a wide range of attachment methods. I needed a webcam holder, phone stand, and tripod. I especially wanted the tripod for night shots. The image that shows the rotation of the phone indicates that you can tip the phone all the way back. You can in terms of range of motion, but it is not stable enough and can't hold the phone as a tripod. My first two pics show the range of motion as a tripod before it falls over (with an iPhone 17). If you can find a place to use the clip, you can get the camera to point at the sky. It would also work if you have a steel surface that can take the magnet. The magnet on the legs/clip is strong enough to hold the camera at a right angle from the surface as long as the clip is oriented vertically, otherwise the weight of the phone pulls it off of the surface. As a phone stand, using it as a tripod with the phone on top is top-heavy and not super stable, and is only really usable for viewing. But it is possible to give the phone a little lift with greater stability by resting the bottom edge of the phone on the table surface and using the tripod to raise the top edge. This is very stable and lets you interact with the phone without having to hold it (e.g., for recipes, or as a music player or calculator, etc. while mainly focused on other tasks). Third photo shows this. Anyway, this is more than I was searching for -- I expected to need 2-3 items, and this has more versatility than I would have had if I had gotten those 2-3 items. But it is a tad bit less than I was expecting after reading the literature and ordering this gadget -- it is ironic that it is called a "tripod" but the tripod feature is the weak link in its abilities. By the way, I see other reviewers said that the rotating ring only allows for 180-degree rotation... for what it's worth, I can use it with my phone at various angles. The case does nudge the ring a little off-center from the charging ring, but it is still strong enough to hang onto the phone. I can see using that for star shots, to rotate the ring toward the part of the sky I wish. See my 4th picture. Read more

I've been using the ULANZI MA30 stand for a while, and it's with me pretty much everywhere I go. When I saw they offered this upgraded version, I ordered it as soon as it became available. Now that I've had the chance to use both, I'm confident that there is no longer any reason to get the MA30. The grape hook is very handy because it lets me brace my phone against doors, window sills, and other places where it wouldn't be suitable for a tripod. Also, the built-in magnet lets me clamp my phone to car hoods and doors, and it also works well on street lamps and signposts. Basically, it opens up a world of stabilizing opportunities. As an aside, my normal setup, shown in the attached picture, is to have a remote shutter release attached to a finger lanyard , and that is attached to the MA38 carabiner. That gets snapped onto either a belt loop or somewhere on my backpack for instant access. Read more

Wanted to like this but felt it's incomplete andd a bit pricey when compared to the plethora of magsafe tripod here. Also found it a bit tall when folded for putting in my pocket. Isn't something that I found I reached for to carry daily. Ulanzi shows it as carrying it with the carabiner clip, but I would never carry it that way and would worry that I might damage the magnets by doing so. I also found the Adjustments quite limited - only going forward or backward 270 degrees but side rotation is limited due to the pivot point being just the magsafe circle. When a phone like Pro Max is mounted vertically, no side to side movement. Ulanzi makes a number of different magsafe tripods/mounts. This is the most expensive one I believe, and for that I wish there were less or no compromises. I found less expensive units that do certain things better. Build quality is good, I wouldn't say great. No access to the screws, and at some point those will need to be tightened. The tripod legs feel small to me, and only one set position, so limits use on uneven surfaces The clip on rear leg is clever idea, though I haven't come across a real use for it yet. The one positive I do like is the the magsafe head is magnetic on both sides, one side is stronger, but the weaker side is usable as well. Allows me to mount a video light on it. But because there's only one pivot point at the base where the arms meet the tripod base, it's not ideal for centering the weight of the phone on this. The magnetic base is solid, as is the arca swiss compatibility. Both solid points. So this unit is close, but needs a little more in my opinion to be special and worthy of the higher price. Currently too expensive for what you get, in my humble opinion. Read more
