Got this for taking better phone videos and it's been nice so far. The phone hold is secure. Those octopus legs actually grip onto things way better than expected, wrapped them around a fence post and everything stayed put. Sturdiness is really good for something this flexible. The silicone legs bend into position and stay there without sagging. Functionality covers all the basics - works with my phone, friend tested it with her GoPro. The ease of use is excellent, took about 2 minutes to figure out the leg positioning. The weight is definitely noticeable though - heavier than I expected for a flexible tripod. Works wonderfully for action cams, but I would not suggest getting this for anything larger than the smallest mirrorless camera with a very light lens. The build is good, but it's very light duty and anything heavy will probably not do well on it. It does have flexibility in the legs for creative shooting, like wrapping it around a tree branch, or stabilizing it on an uneven rock in a creek. It doesn't have any telescoping on it for a selfie mode, and the remote that comes with works but has no storage anywhere on the device. The legs are quite flexible though, and easy to use. They only go out so wide though and it's all tension based so overtime they will probably get floppy. It's not my favorite tripod, but I will be using it for macro lighting so it should work fine for that. Read more
