This sleep mask is very thin and at first, I thought it might allow too much light through or that the ear loops would break. This is not the case as the mask is sewn well and is very durable. The ear loops have not yet stretched or frayed. The ear loops are a bit big for my smaller face but the mask still remains in place, even when moving or turning over in bed. The material is incredibly soft and silky and does not irritate my face. The mask is so light weight I forget I am wearing it. It blocks approximately 98% of the light with only a slight shadowy filtered light coming through. I prefer this in case I need to wake up quickly to see around me. I used this mask first in my very sunny bedroom during an afternoon nap and the sun glare vanished and I was able to fall asleep faster. I also wore the mask while napping in a hammock outside and this is where I could see a very slight hint of light through the material, but still this allowed me to relax and fall asleep. I hand washed the mask and it retained its shape and air dried quickly. The mask comes in a small and well made round zipper case with keychain ring. The inside has a small mesh pocket that holds the included soft orange ear plugs. Both are a nice bonus and make this eye mask set well worth the cost. This mask has also kept my dog's fur off my face and out of my eyes, reducing my morning itchy eye allergies. Read more

This mask is indeed ultra thin and is perhaps based for an already darkened space of room, rather than one where there is a source of bright light. The mask is lightweight and the material is stretchy. It is also compact which is helpful for travel. Given the thinness of the material I would not call it “total blackout” but it is a “breathable” mask material. The fit is good since it is stretchy. The quality is alright but the mask does not contour to the face because of the simplicity of the construction. The value for the price is a bit high, given that the mask allows some light in, but for a darkened plane or bus, this mask could be a good option. Read more

I was excited to try this mask because I hate light in the morning, and I also hate having anything on my face while I sleep. The fact that it was advertised as lightweight is what convinced me to give it a try. It comes in a nice case and even includes earplugs, which is a great bonus, especially for traveling. The mask itself is very thin and lightweight, just as described. Honestly, once it’s on, I barely notice it at all. I also love that it doesn’t pull on my ears and doesn’t have a tie or elastic around the back of my head, which usually really bothers me. I wasn’t sure it would fit since I have a small face, but to my surprise, it fits well. I think it would work for a range of face sizes, though personally I wouldn’t want to stretch it too much and risk it no longer fitting my smaller face. I like it too much to chance that. I can see a little bit of light if I look downward, but I also have a more prominent nose, and while I was actually sleeping, it wasn’t an issue at all. For reference, the mask measures about 12½ inches wide and 2½ inches high. Read more

I ordered this for my father who sleeps with a sleep mask regularly. Compared to the standard sleep masks that go behind the head this one is different and loops behind the ears. The size is for bigger heads - it fits my father but is too large for me and I am just an average size female. The material is so soft and silky that it feels luxurious and as a bonus prevents sweating behind it. It does block the stray light at night completely. When there is a strong source of light (as during the day or when the lights are on) some amount of light enters through the nose area as you can’t make a perfect seal there. My father was a bit aware of the loops behind the ears initially but got used to them and stopped noticing them from the second night onward. When I was unpacking it my first thought was “This is the Rolls-Royce of sleep masks”. From the container it is in to the satin feel and craftsmanship of the mask, everything screams luxury. It does elevate the sleep mask experience and I am happy that it fits well the person it was intended for but could have been easily not the case. Read more

I am an outdoor person (and I spend most of my time outdoors be it either chilling at the beach) and I have never had a pleasant time dozing in the sun. Frequent sleep masks are simply too hot and sun glasses do not filter out enough light. The mask is something that I did not even think I required. Marvelously thin and light Feather like to your face. I completely forget the fact that I wear it. Schwartz mannerism is next in line with something that is so sheer. I am able to gaze directly into the sun and bathe in the warmth, although my eyes remain in utter darkness. The best part is that it is breathable, which is, with the thick and padded masks that I wear at home, does not sweat my face. It remains cool and dry even during hot seasons. Its portability is also elite. It is just a small, attractive pouch of leather feel I simple pin to my pack pack or beach bag. It has become an essential part of my traveling bag, something to use during a flight or even take a quick rest in the park. In case you enjoy dozing in the sun yet detest glare, then the mask is well worth it. It is a game changer on the outdoor chill time. Read more
