These worked well for my stocky 10 yr old son. He's 59" tall and 140 lbs. These were a great length and didn't cut into his belly. The height of the waist also worked well; they didn't have a super tall waist landing way above his belly button (as others have done). These pants are worth the money, as they've held up for two seasons. In spite of his sliding, they still look great. As a parent who’s washed more dirt and red clay out of baseball gear than I can count, I can confidently say these pants hold up. First off, the material is solid. They’re thick enough to handle aggressive slides and diving stops but still breathable enough that my kid isn’t overheating during double-headers. After multiple practices and weekend tournaments, there’s no thinning at the knees and the stitching hasn’t started unraveling — which is usually the first thing to go with youth baseball pants. The fit is athletic and clean-looking. They taper nicely without being too tight, so they look sharp on the field instead of baggy and sloppy. The waistband stays put, and the belt loops are reinforced (huge plus if your kid actually hustles). Washing performance has been impressive. Grass stains come out with basic pre-treatment, and the color hasn’t faded after repeated cycles. That alone earns major points in my book. Why 4 stars instead of 5? Sizing runs just slightly snug. If your player is between sizes or growing fast (which… they all are), I’d recommend sizing up. Once we dialed in the right size, they were perfect. These look good and fit well. The fit is more on the slim side, which I was looking for. Youth small fits my 9 year old son. 2 bottoms keep them secure. The silicone letters inside the waistband help keep them from sliding down. Good belt loops and 2 rear pockets are nice. The white color is a little bit see through but I hope that gets better after a wash or 2. Read more

These fit great on my 8 1/2 year old who is built super athletic with muscular thighs and rear, but DO NOT hold up to sliding. We have had two pairs, and both ripped in the knee after my son had to slide in them. The first pair at least lasted a few games before the top layer of fabric ripped. The second pair ripped the first game/time he wore them and the hole was so big I was too worried the second layer would rip if he wore them and had to slide again so just threw them away.
