Can't go wrong with Under Armour Backpacks
I have purchased Under Armour back packs and they are always reliable. This bag is true to it's color. I like this color very much, and I don't see this color on clothes nor backpacks so I am very happy with it. This was the first time I purchased this model so I was a little worried it wouldn't handle my use. I work in an office, I ride the subway, I carry my lunch, sometimes I need to put an extra sweater or place my coat in there, so I needed something more studier, a laptop sleeve, no breathable mesh and better stitching than the last bag I had (Jansport, the zipper was coming undone at the seem after 2 months of use), not too wide so I don't stuff it. I have a habit of wanting to stuff backpacks with unnecessary items if they look too empty. I also needed something with a secret pocket for wallet/phone/ID and a pocket to fit things I need to grab quickly like earbuds or portable battery. I was not sure if I would like this bag because it was thinner, but I gave it a try because Under Armour has durable and weather resistant bags. I love this bag. The color is great. When you zip your bag it is smooth and doesn't snag. The zipper itself is painted the same color of the bag, and it is thick and you can grip it good without fear of it breaking in half. The bottom has the rubbery coating so if you set it down on something a little wet it doesn't soak into the bag. I've used it in light-medium rain and the stuff with in appears dry. It is a little tight but I can roll up a puffy coat and fit it inside. There is a hood for the front pocket and i think this is a good feature, I worry about pick-pockets and rain. My electronic items in the hooded front pocket remained dry. The "secret pocket" pocket feature I wanted isn't secret, but it is tight and because of the angle of the pocket you can slide a cell phone or work ID without worry of it breaking or falling out easily. But it can be annoying if you have to turn your bag sideways to pull anything out. There is padding on the back that keeps the back straight and your tablets safe. The laptop pocket reaches the bottom of the bag, but when the bag is full, I don't feel my tablet hits the ground. I still have a padded sleeve for it anyways. And lastly, there is no breathable mesh on the back or shoulder straps which is a plus. The mesh mess up my shirts. Other than there being no secret pocket on the top of the bag, my only other complaint would be the back pad. It is long and it keeps the straps too far apart. When I want to carry it in front of me with my arms in the straps, it comes loose which forces me to hold on with two hands, or carry it top handle, while in tight transportation situations. That was a whole lot of information. In summary- it is a good brand, you can't really go wrong. Good with medium rain, sturdy, good seems, carries a good amount of items, and comfortable for the most part. Read more
