This desk is just what I needed for my small studio. It’s sturdy and made out of actual wood, making it totally worth the price in my opinion. It was also really easy to assemble (though heavy and hard to transport up two flights of stairs) because the drawer was already assembled into the desktop. Gorgeous, sturdy desk. Beautiful wood grain, hardly any prep for stain. I used dark walnut Minwax with Rustoleum polyurethane. Desk looks great. It would have cost twice as much at other stores already stained. Saved $$. Read more

Love this desk! Applied stain to match our homes interior woodwork/trim. Adds a nice touch of farmhouse feel to my work area. Easy to assemble and perfect height for working from home on computer or laptop. This is really a fantastic desk. I needed something that was exactly 36 inches wide, and this fit the bill. I was pleasantly surprised, for the price, at the quality and thoughtfulness of packing. This is an actual SOLID wood desk-not made of composite or MDF with a veneer of wood. I got the unfinished wood version. It was sanded completely smooth- I found I didn’t even have to sand it down on the edges. The drawer fits well and works smoothly. It’s very easy to assemble. Basically, you only need to attach the four legs to the top part with the bolts and some nuts and washers. The only possible complaint I could have is that one of the washer rings was missing. Really, not a big deal, since it comes with both a flat washer and a washer wire ring for each leg. You can’t go wrong with this desk. I can’t say enough good things about it. Read more

This little desk is awesome. Like all IC furniture it's solid and easy to assemble. I am going to paint this one up to suit me and I can tell you from past experience that it will go easy. IC sands the unfinished furniture they sell so well that you don't really need to do anything but paint and seal if the paint you use requires that. My only regret with IC is that they don't make the double trestle desk that first introduced me to their furniture. That desk was unfortunately lost and I would have replaced it in a heartbeat if I could have. I'm eyeing another big one for down the road actually. I just bought a little end table and a bookcase too. Probably will be back because IC makes some great stuff. :) Update: This desk unlike the little round table I bought is holding up very well. I wanted to say that because I had to leave a less than stellar review for that one. This table is great! Read more
