I've been a huge fan of the Jetstream line from Uniball since they released over ten years ago. They use a "hybrid" ink which is a combination of gel/water based ink and oil based ink. This hybrid allows for the super smooth writing you get from an oil based ink while maintaining the deep, dark lines you expect from gel. These pens are well known to be "lefty" friendly, so they do not smear. The clicking mechanism on these feel nice and they are super easy to pick up and go. I would avoid keeping them in pockets as pocket lint will gum up the tip and cause the pen to start skipping. One huge benefit is the Uni Super Ink, which is an archival level ink. This means the ink is designed to resist chemical washing and fading. Personally, I just don't understand the pricing on this pack specifically. You get 4 pens for $3.50 (at the time of this writing), which comes out to $0.88 per pen. The actual refills for this pen cost at least twice that. These are really good pens, they are rubberized, which feels nice and works well during writing, the writing is smooth and fast, and they last a decent while. The main gripe I have is the depth of the black color. They write well but aren’t the deepest/nicest looking black, I prefer the pilot g-2 07 how the ink looks. Other than that, they’re great pens! Hands down my favorite pen. Not so thin that my hand cramps after a lot of writing and not so thick that I feel like I'm writing with a baseball bat. Smooth ink, smooth operation, smooth feel. I almost can't write with anything else now because it just feels so subpar compared to this pen. Read more
