It really surpassed all my expectations... 1 - It's rechargeable via USB-C (and comes with a USB-A/USB-C cable, but no wall adapter), so it doesn't need to be plugged in all night - only when charging 2 - It has 3 different brightness levels (you can tell by the amount of light on the wall in my pictures) 3 - My 6-year-old could operate it intuitively in <30 seconds 4 - It turns green when fully charged The only reason for 4 stars is that I had to go find my own plug adapter to charge the USB Read more

This unicorn night light (Brand: joyful) is made of soft silicone and measures approximately 5 inches by 3.5 inches by 3 inches. It has 3 different light gradients (30%, 60%, and 100%). It also has a 30 min option where it automatically turns off after 30 minutes. It's easy for kiddos to use -- you can either squeeze it or tap it to turn on and off. However, tapping it has better results than squeezing it, IMO. It's rechargeable using a USB- C. The only thing though is that if the lights go out and needs fixing, there's no way to fix unless the silicone is cut open or damaged. Otherwise, product is cute and solid. 5 stars for the product's functionality and make. Now, do I think it's worth $17? No, not after I saw a 12 inches one (bigger than this) of cute animal(s) silicone night light going for $20 at Costco a couple months ago! Lol. It charges quickly with the included USB cord—less than an hour for several hours of use. You just tap its little body to cycle through the light modes, from a bright cheerful glow to a soft night-light dim. Even on the brightest setting, the light is beautifully diffused and never harsh. This adorable little light is great. It charged up pretty fast out of the box via usb-c, glowing green when charging was done. After flipping the switch, it just takes a gentle tap to get it to light up, and subsequent taps cycle through the various brightness options. On the low setting it is perfect for a night light, while on high it is surprisingly bright I do like that it doesn’t take a hard tap to activate it. Another similar light I have takes a few good smacks to turn of or change brightness. It does have a habit of activating when setting it down though if it is moved.
