Messy but fun!
I bought this to use with kids 2 and 4. They were not able to understand the idea of swirling paint without mixing the colors completely. All rocks ended up either identical pink with glitter, or medium blue with glitter. We did have lots of fun mixing and pouring. We all ended up covered in paint, but it did wash off in the tub. Paint is actually glue-like. Directions advise item is for kids 6+. Yeah I will use the second kit I bought with grandkids 10, 7, and 6. I will also look around to find additional flat rocks to paint. Kit contains 10 rocks, and lots of paint - more than enough for additional 5 or so. There are many packets of glitter, stick-on jewels, and a lovely bottle of gold paint. Lots of fun. Paper apron included, but have a supply of newspaper or plastic tablecloth to set up rocks. FYI - dress kids (and yourself!) in old clothes and shoes. P.S. We never checked to see if they glowed in the dark. Read more
