This is either a product for the car enthusiast who likes the idea of a brake disc light or for a kids room. Or in the alternative, this could work well as an outdoor light when you sit outside at night. I feel the product works well for that as it gives a nice and warm light, that you can adjust in brightness. But still, it is just a warm light that goes well with sitting in low light in your backyard on a nice summer evening. See picture below. Now is of course not the time of year, but that will be my use of this light. The product is very light, mostly plastic. Set up is easy: Plug it in and charge it. No assembly required as the rotor fits into the stand and you can turn it as you wish with the calipher on either side of the stand. The one thing I would wish would be for the power chord to be usb to usb, rather than this not too common mini jack connector in one end. I have probably 30 smaller usb to usb connectors laying around in the house. I could just have used these, but okay, not a big deal really, since the product comes with this cord. So all in all, I can see some different uses for it. At the price, I think this is a good product and I can certainly see myself using it as a nice and warm outside light in the summer, while sitting in my back yard. Read more

This is an ambient light, or night light. It has two intensity settings, with one being brighter. The light is rechargeable, so it’s portable, and it comes with a USB charging cable. I’m not sure how long the battery lasts yet, but it seems good so far. At night, the light is bright enough to create a nice red ambient glow in the room, especially if you place it near a computer or TV. The power button is touch-sensitive. You tap once to cycle through the two brightness settings and then OFF. The light feels like it weighs under one pound, and it comes with a pedestal and instructions. For fun, I took a picture of it near my car wheels to compare it to real disc brake rotors. The lamp is almost as big as a real rotor. There’s also another variation with a red caliper, while mine is gray. Downside: the included USB cable is proprietary, and if you lose it, you can’t replace it with a standard one. In future versions, it would be ideal to have a USB-C connector on the device for universal compatibility. Read more

Definitely a kids or younger teen item. The rotor measures 8 1/2 inches pretty much the size of a small import Toyota or Honda. The graphic on the caliper the color combination kind of reminds me of a BMW M series. It’s all plastic. The rotor basically squeezes into the holder base so you can rotate the caliper which contains the on/off switch to any position you like. When it’s not on, it’s pretty much a peach colored rotor. Switch it on rotor glows orange. Has a low and medium brightness. I took pictures with it, turned off and in both brightness positions to show you the contrast. This would be fine for a kids nightstand but being that I am a total car guy. It is nothing that I would put on my desk or in my garage. Read more

BLUF, TL, DR: Does it work, yes. Should you buy it? For a child/teen yes. This looks better in the product photos than on my night stand or desk. The brake disc design is clever and eye-catching, but the execution doesn’t fit into an adult's decor. The stand is clearly an afterthought. It's ightweight plastic, visually cheap, and more toy-like than display-worthy. It undermines what could have been a solid novelty piece. On a desk or shelf, it reads less “automotive decor” and more “kids’ night light.” I wanted to be able to store my phone on the base and that is not possible Build quality overall feels juvenile, not premium. For the price point, I expected a heavier base, better materials, and a more intentional display solution. Instead, it feels best suited for a tween, teenager, or young child who wants something cool-looking rather than something refined. Bottom line: *Fun concept *Decent light effect *Touch sentivity is responsive *Weak stand and presentation This to me is a missed opportunity for a more mature, collector-style finish If you’re buying for a younger car enthusiast, it works. If you’re buying for an adult who appreciates automotive design and quality, this will feel underwhelming, especially at $36.99. This is novelty-first, craftsmanship-second. Read more

Was impressed by the look of this light and it looks great on the garage wall. Has two light settings and really in a conversation piece. The accompanying stand it the drawback. Feels flimsy and light rotates around till the caliper is at the bottom Read more

The Unique 3D Brake Disc Night Light is a fun and surprisingly well-made piece of décor that instantly stands out, especially if you’re into cars. The brake disc design looks great lit up in red, giving off a cool 3D effect that works nicely as a desk lamp or night light without being too bright. I like the touch control feature, which is simple to use and feels more modern than a traditional switch. The rechargeable USB setup is convenient, so you’re not constantly swapping batteries. The lamp continues to work while the charging cable is utilized. It feels sturdy, makes a great conversation piece, and definitely hits the mark as a novelty gift that’s both practical and entertaining. A couple things to note is that I wish it utilized a regular USB-C charging cable and I wish the charging port was in a more discreet location. This would allow it to remain plugged in on a bedside table. Also, for the price I would have expected that the LED lights had multiple color options. Overall, it’s a clever, unique gift idea that’s perfect for car enthusiasts or anyone who enjoys fun, themed room décor. Read more
