cool how they get hard

very cool how they are soft to touch and flexible, but when you simulate impact on them they are hard. hit a table, sounds like a solid thump, not a soft thud. i hit it with my knuckle and it got hard instantly and kinda hurt my knuckle. then i hit it with my finger, same thing as my knuckle. i put them in my motorcycle jacket but havnt used them yet because it is cold outside and i do not have a motorcycle.
