I purchased this for a trip to the lake, since my dog has a tendency to just stand on hot surfaces. My bf put the cover on it while I trained him to use it for a week. I know my 50lb mutt can be wary of new items -- especially ones that slide, move, squeak, etc. Well, after a week of throwing it in a corner and putting treats intermittently on the far end so he'd have to put his front paws on it to get to the treats, he has now used this daily. Even after our trip, we ended up putting it back out in the house since he loves it so much! I know the weight limit is higher, but I think 50-55lbs might be the upper limit, since there's no support in the middle. A heavier dog might just find themselves touching the floor. I bought this for my favorite gardening buddy, Candy the dog. She's older and has arthritis, but loves joining me outside. I thought this would be a good way to help her stay comfortable and safe. It raises her off the ground a bit so it gets great air flow. It helps to keep her cooler and it makes it easier for her to lie down with her mobility issues. It is super easy to assemble. Simply undo the strap, unfold it so it lies flat, and add the fuzzy cover on top. It's very sturdy and really comfortable. It has a carrying case and it is very easy to move from place to place.
