AWESOME CLEANER and super safe product!!! I have a hat that is 1/2 white mesh and it had severely yellowed over the years from sweat and bacteria. The main part of the hat is green and I was afraid any attempt to clean it would fade the green color. I soaked the hat halfway into the quart of warm water with 1/2 tablespoon of this powder dissolved and let it sit for an hour. It got rid of ALL of the yellow stain?!?!?!!! I've used two tubs of this so far. I like that there's no plastic. I like that it's unscented and doesn't have any colorings to it. It seems effective, not as good as the name brand stuff, but works well enough for our purposes. I've had trouble with it not dissolving completely in cold or cool water. It's gotten to the point where I now put it in a little jar of water and shake it well before adding to the laundry to prevent that. Just another step. The other issue is the packaging is very difficult to get open. I don't have large hands, so I can't easily palm the top to get it off and both times I spilled it on the first try (even though there's that little metal top in there). I don't usually put the lid back on completely any longer, just to make it easier. In the future I might just transfer it to a mason jar. I re-use the little scoop in the garden. And the metal plate inside is now used as a strange series of coasters for other laundry products. Read more

This is my 2nd container of AspenClean. This really works on removing stains and brightening laundry. I've seen a real difference and would definitely recommend it. I'm one of those frugal folks that usually doesn't use stuff like this. My first box came as part of a gift, but after using it I bought more - it is that good. I really like this product. I had no issues the first time I purchased it. But this was my second purchase, and I was pretty disappointed when I could only use 2/3 of the product because 1/3 of it was stuck to the inside of the container. When I tried to scrape it off, it came off in chunks. And when I tried to use those chunks in my laundry, they never dissolved and I was left with white pieces all over my clothes. When this is in pure powder form, it works really well! But when it hardens, it is unusable. Bummer. Read more

Remaining powder in the container clumped into big granules soon after the first use or the granules already there the first time the container being opened. The granules are very difficult to dissolve even in hot water. Must use double the amount of water specified in the instructions to dissolve or hand crushing the granules. Plus, did not see better stain removing power from this product over regular bar soup on stains like fruit stain, drink stain, sweat, ink. I hope people giving good reviews share their tricks on how to dissolve this product well and details on stain removing cases. I still have one and a half container of this product. The half container has already become one big chunk sticking to the bottom. Read more
