The perfect frothing pitcher. Stainess, it cleans up very easily, lightweight, but strong, with a comfortable handle. The shape is great and allows for easy, consistent milk frothing. Just enough of a lip for easy pouring of milk and the shape works great for latte art. A great pitcher. You simply can not beat this price! Less than $8! Read more

Prior to ordering these pitchers, I read the reviews thoroughly noting that many people gave varying testimonials in regards to the true size of the pitcher displayed, as well as the best sized pitcher to get a good foam. So keeping in mind I am new to the 'cafe-at-home' thing, here goes my opinion... After measuring out 12 ounces of water and pouring it into the pitcher, yes, the pitcher is a full 12 ounces... all the way to the brim, as other reviewers have mentioned. So if you are looking to foam a full 12 ounces of milk (for those who do not know, the milk will expand with foam as it is steamed, so do not fill all the way to the top prior to steaming - you will get a mess), get the larger size, but truthfully I don't think you'll need it. Most of the traditional sized at home coffee mugs are roughly 8-10 ounces, so unless you are trying to fill a 16 ounce travel mug with just steamed milk (no espresso), this 12 ounce pitcher will work just fine. While some people have mentioned that they use the larger pitcher for two people, I can only attest to using this pitcher for two people once, and I used small cappuccino style mugs (~3-4 oz mugs). With this method things came out just ok (perhaps I need more practice, or it is best to just steam each drink separately). If you are just looking to steam large quantities of milk, and not concerned too much with type/quality of foam, the larger one may be for you (such as if you are making hot cocoa for a large number of people, or the foam consistency is not important). However, for a single drink, be it mug or travel thermos, this 12 ounce pitcher works just great, and delivers the perfect quantity of steamed milk with the perfect consistency of foam. Not only that, but in our house, I use soy milk (lactose allergy) while my boyfriend prefers whole milk in his drinks, and the two pitchers work just perfect for both types of milk. As to the quality of the pitchers, I have not noticed any rust stains, defects, imperfections, or any thing else with these mugs since I have purchased them a month or so ago. I cannot remember where I read it, but somewhere I read to store them in the freezer. Since then I have been storing mine solely in the freezer after allowing them to air dry post washing, and they are still holding up fine. The only negative thing I have to say about these pitchers is that they are smaller in diameter at the top of the pitcher than they are at the bottom (similar to an erlenmeyer flask), so I have a difficult time wiping out the inside bottom of the pitcher with a dish cloth. This is easily fixed however using a bottle brush, but it would be nice to just wipe them with a cloth. All things considered, great pitchers, would purchase again, highly recommend. Read more

Food-grade stainless steel, you can put it directly on a gas stove/burner, rock solid, made in the USA. Doesn't stain or discolor either which is awesome. Reminds me of my AllClad pans. Buy with confidence. We use this to heat milk for tea and/or coffee, then froth and pour from. Read more

Well, it's a frothing pitcher. There's not much else to say. It looks good, shiny on the exterior with a brushed steel interior. The handle is a little thin, and looks kind of cheap, but it serves its purpose. The only glaringly ugly feature is the logo on the bottom, which you'd think they would take care to imprint, but no one sees the bottom, so that's ok. This pitcher is the perfect height for my DeLonghi EC155 Espresso Maker , and works great. Overall, if you don't have a lot of money to spend on accessories, I would recommend this pitcher. If you really care about looks and a more comfortable handle (you're only holding it for maybe 30 sec at most anyway), then you might want to consider something more expensive. However, this is the perfect size for cappuccino, which I what I use it for, and the price tag is attractive. Read more

OK, I've had this for about 5 years, and saw the other 2 reviews, which to me are both misguided. First of all, a review should review this product in comparison with others of the same genre. A review shouldn't be of whether you want the product in the first place. You should be reviewing this AS a steaming pitcher, not whether one needs a steaming pitcher in the first place. And, you can't steam the milk in the mug for making something like a cappuccino with latte art, etc. I steam the milk in the mug for my daughter's hot chocolate, sure. But for many drinks, you must have a steaming pitcher. So, presuming one knows one wants a steaming pitcher in the first place, it is totally unfair to ding THIS one because it IS a steaming pitcher. Second of all, there are steaming pitchers available in 12oz, 16oz, 20oz, 24oz, 32oz, etc. Rating the 20oz pitcher 3 starts because it is "too small" is bizarre. The review should review the *quality* or *value* or *durability* of the item. The review should compare it with *other 20oz pitchers*. PLUS, I don't get this - a standard cappuccino cup is only 6oz, this pitcher is EASILY big enough to steam milk for TWO of them. If you're trying to fill a couple of travel-mugs, or pouring lattes for 6 people, sure, get the 32oz. But in general, I find it too BIG. I have a 12oz and this 20oz, and I'm actually going to order a 16oz because it is hard to reach the steam wand to the bottom of this one for a 4 or 5oz macchiato/cappuccino type drink, but the 12oz pitcher is too hard to control. This one, however, is the *perfect* size for steaming 2 6oz cappuccinos for me and my wife. Now, after whining about the other 2 reviews, on to my review. This is an excellent value for only less than twenty bucks or whatever it is going for. It isn't as good as the Motta - but - that costs *three times as much* - so, I would hope it is better. It is solid stainless steel, a heavy enough gauge for the desired thermal properties. Milk spins well in it, and the spout is controllable enough during the pour. Read more
