Got one of these for my skate on a whim because why not. The adhesive didn't seem like it's gonna hold super good, but the two included screws and holes in the plastic worked fine to keep it fixed to the deck. My first thought was the magnesium rods would just be worn away within a few minutes or even just break off but they actually have held up very decent to my long-term abuse. The sparks themselves are way more wild than I thought they'd be. They keep dancing and popping a few seconds after you drag and at night it looks pretty rad every time you dump the tail even a little. You can see the sparks in the daylight pretty decent, but the value of these comes from surprising people in the dark with your godlike spark prowess. If you mounted two or three of these on your tail you'd look like a C-130 taking off with JATO rockets every time you ollie over a curb. Read more

I got this skateboard spark strip to add some flair to my rides. I decided to install it on my Onewheel, which isn't its intended use, and found that it didn't work as well as I'd hoped. I managed to get a couple of good sparks, but the adhesive didn't hold well on the uneven surface of my used board. However, I believe this was more of a user error on my part. The product comes with screws for a more secure installation, and relying solely on the adhesive—especially on an uneven or worn surface—isn't the best approach. I recommend not using just the adhesive if your skateboard isn't brand new or has an uneven underside. Use the provided screws to ensure it stays firmly in place. Overall, when used as intended and installed properly, I think this spark strip would work great. I'm giving it 4 stars because my experience wasn't perfect, but that's likely due to my own misuse rather than any fault of the product itself. Read more
