So far, I'm extremely pleased with the quality and performance of this 2-in-1 hair dryer brush. I don't have the time or patience to wait for my hair to dry only to have to straighten it afterward. I occasionally use a hair dryer to speed up the process, but I'm still stuck with frizzy and unruly hair afterward. The thing I love about this brush is that I can accomplish everything at once. The negative ions really come into play for smoothing out my hair while drying it. I tend to straighten my hair daily, so having the option to do that with this brush is fantastic. I do admit that this brush is on the larger size. I questioned how well it would work out for me since I have thinner, medium-length hair. It just looked like something that would be better suited for someone with thicker and longer hair, but honestly, it worked out well for me too. I can fully dry and style my hair in about 10 minutes. There’s even a setting that allows me to straighten my hair when it’s already dry, which reduces the need for multiple heated styling tools. Honestly, this brush alone handles all of my daily styling needs. The overall design is sleek and there are a variety of settings on it. The only thing I wasn't fond of was the sliding button that controls the hair dryer temp. It's kind of in an awkward place and difficult to slide, especially if you're wanting to change the temp while using the brush. Aside from that, switching it to dry-hair mode is simple. It features a dedicated button and section specifically designed for that purpose. Note: The dry mode button is right below the section you use to straighten your hair while it's dry. While on dry mode, I notice that it does a great job of straightening my thinner hair. This is my experience with it, but hair type and length could make a big difference in the result. The top of the brush features three airflow directions, each serving a different styling purpose. This is easy to control but works best when set before use. I have naturally wavy hair and it does a perfect blowout and I don't have to use my flat iron. My hair is thick but fine and it cut styling time in half! This is THE BEST! I first let my hair air-dry for a little period of time, and then I used the brush side of the blow dryer on my moist areas. Through a single pass, I was able to feel it drying and styling itself, beginning at the roots and gradually working my way through to the ends. When I completed drying my whole head, my hair was completely dry, the roots had more lift than normal, and the mid-lengths were smoother and more under control than they were when I used a regular dryer by itself. One of the most noticeable changes that I have seen is the increase in volume near the crown. The top layer of my hair would always be flat when I used my previous technique, even if the remainder of my hair was in good condition. Using this volumizer, I am able to concentrate on the areas around the part and the crown by twisting the brush slightly and keeping it at the roots for a little period of time before drawing it through. I get a natural-looking lift that lasts throughout the day without the need for more teasing or a lot of follow-up effort thanks to that one tiny extra step. In the event that I do not feel like washing my hair again, I will brush it out, activate the comb function, and then proceed to go through the front parts and the top layers of my hair. Bedhead can be easily smoothed out, the portions around my face can be tamed, and the ends can be given a little bit of form again using this easy method. I was hoping this would be a good dupe for the shark version, but unfortunately it doesn’t compare. It’s awkward to use and the heated comb does not get hot enough to do what it’s intended to do, which was what I purchased it for. I have shoulder length hair and wanted something that was quick and would work in between washings to provide lift and add volume. If you just want to use it as an alternative to a regular hairdryer, it might be ok for that. Sadly, this didn’t get it for me. Read more
