We went on an international trip recently and I had one of those USB charging cables where 3 devices can be charged at once. It was 2 USB C ports and one Apple Watch charger as the outputs and a single USB A or C input. It was a neat cable and worked like a dream for slower overnight charging. However, I did notice that there were a few times that I needed to charge quickly to get another 20% before stepping out. It is for times like those where I felt having a fast charger would come in handy. This 3 in 1 travel charger is what would have elevated my travel charging kit. It has 2 USB C ports capable of independently negotiating the amount of power they need. It also has a separate apple watch charger to round out the setup. Those USB C ports that can independently negotiate their own power requirements as opposed to falling back to slow charging means that I can easily get that 20-30% extra boost before stepping out. It means fast devices can take advantage of the charging speed and won’t get slowed down by the slowest wire. The caveat to this is that you need a capable power plug that can output the necessary watts. If you don’t have a plug that can output at least 60w, then the cable won’t be able to do too much. I tried the cable on a simple USB C charging port on an outlet and then I tried it on a power plug capable of outputting up to 100w. The results were quite different with my beefy 100w power plug showing a 40% to 80% estimated time of about 29 minutes. With the generic charging port on an outlet, the same 30% to 80% estimate was about 58 minutes. I got roughly the same numbers across either of the USB C ports so its more of a power limitation on my iphone. An overall solidly built USB C charger with fast charging options and the ability to independently negotiate power across the separate USB C ports. Read more

This charger has been a game-changer for travel. I was looking for a solution that could replace multiple cords, and this delivers. It’s especially handy because it includes an Apple Watch charger, which isn’t usually standard, and the input can be USB-A or USB-C, making it compatible with any outlet you might encounter in hotels, cars, or rentals. The two USB-C outputs are a huge bonus, allowing me to charge my phone, AirPods, battery packs, or Kindle simultaneously. Each port independently negotiates the power it needs, so fast-charging devices get their full speed without being slowed down by slower devices. In my testing, the cable can support up to 100W, and even with multiple devices charging, none of the connectors or split block get hot. The only small note is that the USB-A connector can get a little warm, but it’s nothing concerning. The cable is well-made, braided for durability, and the included velcro strap keeps it neat and tangle-free for travel. The cord is a bit longer than I’d like, which makes it slightly bulkier, but in practice, the extra length is occasionally convenient. It eliminates the need to pack multiple cords and chargers, keeps everything organized, and works reliably for fast charging all my devices. If you want a single, compact solution for phone, Apple Watch, and USB-C devices, this is highly recommended. Read more

This is a great multipurpose charger! I’ve been looking for a “one and done” solution for travel, something that would allow me to only carry one cord but still be able to charge all my devices. There’s a lot of cords on the market that have multiple charging points, but the two reasons I choose this one are because of the included Apple Watch charger, which is not usually a standard feature, and because the input jack can be either USB-A or USB-C, which is awesome. Right now I’ve had to bring both kinds since you never know what kind of outlet you’ll find in hotel rooms or in rental cars. I also really love that it has two USB-C outputs, so I can charge my AirPods and my phone at the same time (or, external battery, or kindle, etc). Most multi chargers only have one of each type, so having multiple is awesome. My only complaint is that the cord is a bit longer than I’d like, so it’s still a bit bulky for travel, but there are times where I appreciate having the longer cord so all in all I have no regrets. The cord is well made and high quality, and charges devices fast. Highly recommend! Read more

There are a lot of charging cables that have 3 connections (with one being for an Apple Watch). This is the first one I’ve seen where it actually supports 100 watts and is able to maintain it while remaining cool. For my testing, I put my Apple Watch Ultra on the Apple charger, then I put 2 battery packs on the USB-C ports. Each battery pack can be charged up to a rate of 65 watts. As you can see from my pictures, the cable is supporting 100 watts when the USB-C connectors is used. From a build perspective, this braided cable is average sized (not too thin but also not too thick). While charging at 100 watts, none of the USB-C connectors got warm and the block where the cables split from 1 to 3 also didn’t get warm either. However, I did notice that while charging with the USB-A adapter, the USB-A connector did get warm even though it was limited to 20 watts. It didn’t get HOT so it’s not something I worried about. For the price, this is an excellent deal for the quality of cable that you’re getting. Read more

This is a 3-way cable that has an Apple Watch charger and two USB-C connectors. The "electricity" end has a USB-C connector with an integrated adapter for standard USB (kept on the cable with a silicone band). There is no transformer or charging block included. This is such a nifty idea, especially for traveling. I can go on vacation with one multifunctional cable to charge my Apple watch, my iPhone, and my tablet! The cable is sufficiently long (5 feet) to reach a wall outlet without having to put all my items on the floor. The cable is braided, so it is more durable than the usual cable. One negative - This cable is quite a bit more expensive when compared to similar products that have the same length braided cable and support even higher wattage. One star off. Read more
