Need a heavyweight fashion-forward sweater? Here you go! This is a very nice heavyweight sweater with an interesting shape. Above the waist, it's boxy, the shoulders give the appearance of having ginormous pads but without the actual pads. Below the button, iti's very slim and flattering. Let's talk about the button. It's big. It is a working button but you'll want to unbutton it and button it back up before you try to wear it. That will loosen up the buttonhole and make it easier to use. Worst case scenario, pull it over you head. As to fit, I ordered a Large based on my bust measurement (39") even though the size chart doesn't appear to relate to this sweater and it fits nicely. I wasn't sure about the open waist; I usually like to cover up that area but I'll give it a try. This really is a flattering shape. The width at the shoulders helps my waist to look smaller than it is and the ribbing has a slimming effect. I'm honestly stunned at the other reviews. This is the strangest sweater I have ever seen. The overall length is pretty short, but the sleeves are honestly HUGE, they're so wide it's ridiculous. It's so disproportionately cut, I don't know that this would be flattering on anyone. Just look at the listing photos, how awkward some of them are. That should have stopped me from ordering this. I will say, however, this sweater is a VERY thick and very heavy ribbed material. it does not look cheap at all. I would not try to unbutton/button it as it's such a strangely shaped button - rather just pull it over your head. This one is a huge no. It looked absolutely absurd on me. Nice substantial knit, breathable material included within which is always my preference, and its nice to order a thick piece and have the quality be there like this. This is something you may have to style according to your body type, but to me it fits a bit like a larger sweater with a belt , something that looks good with tight jeans tucked into knee-high boots, or in a manner emphasizing the shape. Female. 5’4”. 165lbs. I typically prefer to order a large because mediums can be too unpredictable but in this case I should have sized down. Everything fit great except the sleeves were a little long and as a result of the sweater being a thicker knit, the shoulders were very boxy during the first wear. I imagine over time the fibers will soften and the sweater will be less stiff. Despite the bulky sleeves, the torso of the sweater creates a very flattering hourglass figure that I found very attractive. The fibers are all synthetic so this should wash and wear really well. This is a great piece to add to your fall wardrobe as you can pair it with so many different color and style combinations and it’s thick enough to stay warm without a jacket in the early fall months. This sweater will definitely keep you warm during the colder seasons—- it can even be worn as a jacket! Honestly, I was surprised with how heavy and thick the material was. The gold piece in the middle adds a unique design to it and is a very shiny solid piece. Yet, the sweater is very low-cut—I plan on pinning it or wearing a top underneath. I ordered a size Medium, because I found the sweater to run oversized. For reference, I am 5’5, size 14-16 and the Medium fits me perfectly. Read more
