Cardigan styled cape vs coat styled cape
I like this cape, but it’s not your traditional outerwear-style cape. It’s more of an outfit piece made from a shirt-type material rather than something you’d wear as a coat. The fabric is actually that piqué material you see in men’s polo shirts, which feels very crisp and structured. When I ordered it, I expected more of an outerwear fabric or even a knit, so this was a bit different than anticipated. I ordered my usual size, a small, and it fits fairly fitted in the front with a cardigan-style button closure, while the back is looser and gives it that cape look. I’ll still wear it, but definitely more as a fashion piece than as outerwear. I do wish the material were more flexible and had a softer drape, since this fabric is on the stiffer side. That said, it does feel well made, and I generally love Urban Revivo pieces. This isn’t my favorite item from them, but it’s very unique and I’ll still get use out of it. It’s best described as a cardigan-style cape rather than a true outerwear cape. Read more
