After ordering these arrived super fast. They are compressed down into plastic packaging, and inserted into a small box for shipping purposes. Upon opening the packaging they begin to expand. You never want to use new towels without washing, and carefully drying them first. This initial washing removes any remaining lint and oils in the cloth from the manufacturing process. Use only a mild detergent, or even a special laundry soap that is made specifically for microfiber cloth. Do not use any bleach in initial washing, and only if absolutely necessary in future washes. Do not ever use any fabric softeners, or other chemicals when washing microfiber towels. In addition, when drying you never want to dry these microfiber towels with the dryer heat set too high. The lower the better! Use air dry, or at most ultra low. Microfiber uses plastics to create the fine fibers used in making the towels. These fibers can melt when too much heat is used when drying. These melted fibers will make the cloth rough feeling, and can scratch delicate surfaces. After I washed and dried these towels appropriately they were fluffed up, soft, and ready to use. The cloth is thick, and seems to be pretty tough. These did a really good job cleaning and drying surfaces inside and outside of my car. All in all these are one of the best deals I have found on Amazon, and if I need more in the future I will order this brand again. Read more
