To test the performance of these extension cables I ran a series of benchmark tests using a Corsair Voyager GTX (very fast) USB 3.0 drive. As a baseline I first tested the drive plugged directly into my computer, which produced the first set of results (459 mb/sec sequential read, 86 mb/sec random read, 178 mb/sec sequential write, 17 mb/sec random write). If you are more interested in voltages, 4.97V, .331A were the peak values during the benchmark. I then used one of the USB 3.0 extension cables, and ran the test again. There was some performance loss, but compared to other cables I have tried I consider this a VERY POSITIVE result. (428 mb/sec sequential read, 80 mb/sec random read, 180 mb/sec sequential write, 17 mb/sec random write). If you are more interested in voltages, 4.95V, .323A were the peak values during the benchmark. Conclusion: These are good extension cables. The braided sleeving feels well made. The female connection is VERY tight, if you are planning to be unplugging a replugging this cable a lot, I suspect this will get annoying. If you are looking for an USB 3 extension cable for a keyboard, mouse, scanner/printer, etc this is probably what you are looking for, and the tight connection is actually a plus. Bonus test: Since they come in a 4 pack, what happens when I use all four together?... Wow the drive actually worked, but the performance tanked (43 mb/sec sequential read, 29 mb/sec random read, 43 mb/sec sequential write, 12 mb/sec random write). If you are more interested in voltages, 4.95V, .212A were the peak values during the benchmark. This should NOT be considered a negative result, just be aware that the longer the extension the lower the performance. Read more

I have 3 TVs that are wall mounted, making it difficult to plug in a USB stick. Why? For several years, Smart TVs can show pictures, play music, and movies from USB sticks. I can put multiple movies on a stick or LOTS of music. Depending on the movie length, quality, and compression, I can throw 6 to 12+ on a 64GB stick. Note: these are A Male to A Female cables. Very sturdy cables, some cheap cables last only weeks or months - I expect to be using these until USB cables are no longer used . . . Read more

Being in IT I use a lot of these because if your having trouble with USB Mice and keyboards most of the time it is because that memory stick or other device is interfering with the RF signal to and from the USB dongle. The USB 3.0 Extension Cable, Besgoods 4Pack [6ft] USB A Male to Female Braided Extender Cords work great for this purpose. Just plug your dongle into the female end and hang it up away from your computer and no more wireless mouse or keyboard issues. Read more

I had these for a few days, layed a couple of them daisey chained across my office floor and stepped on the end of one on accident Wich caused it to bend the end connection so much that it broke the plastic connector inside rendering it useless. I'm glad I ordered 2 pairs of these when I did. Otherwise, the connection to the computer is fast and excellent. Read more

USB 3.0 male by female 6 ft. extension cable. No more bending over or walking around computer to USB 3.0 port. Plug this in once and run other end to wherever you work, probably around keyboard. Plug in external drives, flashdrives, etc. Can also use on USB 2.0 if that's all ya got. See my review on FebSmart USB 3.0 PCIe card. I got on em both on 3 machines on network. GOTTA go USB 3.0!! WAY faster!! and these cables are just a neat idea. Read more

These USB extension cords are perfect to increase the distance for charging or operating items. I tested these with different devices and they did not decrease the charging time compared to normal cords. I used them in my van to add more distance to reach to the back. I also use them to connect neon wall lights to place them in more unique places. Would buy again! Read more

It works, it's inexpensive. What matters is it worked as I planned. I added a USB 3 PCIe card with 2 outputs. I purchased it because I have read that you need to use a usb3 cable (blue) to usb3 connector to take advantage of the speed. Read more
